Question about PR Replacement Card

Hi,

I have lost my PR card and had to apply for a new one. I have a trip in 70 days to the US however I don’t think I’ll get my replacement card in time.
My question is: I have a visitor visa for Canada which is still valid. Can I enter Canada again using the visitor visa if I don’t get my card in time? Thanks in advance for your help.

No, because you are no longer a `visitor' to Canada, right?

How will you be traveling to/from The U.S.? If by car across a land POE, you don't really need your PR Card. Just bring your original landing document, or anything else that proves that you are a PR. The CBSA officer will probably question you regarding your Residency Obligation (R.O.) and may check to see if your PR has been revoked, or renounced, but as long as the officer can verify that you are a PR, you will be allowed to enter Canada.

If you are traveling by air, you will need a PRTD to fly (unless you happen to be a U.S. citizen with a valid passport). If it is the latter, do not tell the airline that you are a PR of Canada!

Have you got your pr card yet? I am also in the same boat , applied for replacement pr card on September 26 ,no update yet

Yeah it really sucks. So far I've only gotten my AOR. I contacted them via email multiple times and they replied using a template. Apparently nothing they can do. I just hope I get my PR before my trip
