Hi,

I am wondering if I apply for OUTLAND spousal sponsorship and if my spouse visits me (on a visitor visa) in Canada, can I change it to INLAND sponsorship?

Can I apply for an open work permit in that case once she arrives here on a visitor visa?

No, you can't change it, and no, she won't be eligible for spousal open work permit.

She can remain in Canada though and should advise of change in address (if she plans to remain until PR is finalized), they will do virtual landing (and she will not need to leave Canada to get the visa/landing docs).

You can search here or on the internet. Searching for virtual landing in threads here should answer the second question.

You likely will not find any reference that it's not possible to swtich from outland to inland other than the absence of any way to do so.

Thanks @armoured. Do you apply for OWP at the same time when you apply for spousal INLAND application or do you wait until you receive AOR?

My undrstanding is that with online, you must apply after getting AOR.
