Do we have the option to skip the hard questions and then come back to it later? Like do the easy ones first and then do the hard ones

Yes absolutely!
There's an option to review later
It definitely helped my husband as there was about 6 questions he wasn't sure about because of the way the question was phrased (he said) but he skipped over them and came back to them later to reevaluate and answer

I went through all the questions once using the option to review later, then went through them again, this time selecting a final answer - just my method, not saying this works for everyone - still finished the test in about 10 minutes and got 20/20

That is perfect!! I mean I don't aim to get 20 lol but will try my best. I am just not able to remember history so was trying to ask people if history was majorly asked or not. I mean I understand the test won't be the same for everyone but yeah this info helps a lot. Thanks

Question. I believe this discovery canada book has a lot of info that is not accurate or true as per present. For example queen has been replaced by king. If I get a question where queen and king are both in the options should I be choosing the right one as of present or still stick to what says in the book even though it's wrong

I was worried about that too!
I don't know about others but neither of us got questions that were ambigious in that way i.e. had both King and Queen as options.
From what I read on other threads, though, it's best to stick to the info in the book

I'm getting a good feel of this IRCC system. Things get stuck, then an update that gets pushed through fixes it. So next update, whatever that is will fix it?

Here I am waiting for an update after multiple GUs. Hoping my common name doesn't push me into Fingerprint territory, and I get some good news soon. Hopefully a test invite as well.

it would have been okay if it were limited to checking once every day. problem is that i'm unable to limit it to one attempt / day. don't know if i'm the only maniac here, or others are like this too.

Yeah I'm checking in on it every few hours as well. Hopefully on test marked completed or another GU you will see it again.

I check 4 times per hour minimum lol im on mat leave so i have plenty of time i caught my background check completed within 10mins from it happening

I have provided my fingerprints via a RCMP Accredited Service Provider on 14th January , I today checked the Online Tracker and noticed below . Will i will receive an email as well for this , I haven't received any .

sometimes i get a feeling that the text (update) will change in front of my eyes, like transitioning from "in progress" to "completed"....

Someone said here that only BG changes to completed and everything else stays in progress until you complete your oath ceremony and then it moves to completed

No need to book a slot. You can take the test anytime in the test window day or night even if you don't receive the e-mail instructions. The test website has instructions (link in signature)
