Ok so here is the situation.

I have applied for my outland spousal sponsorship from "X" country (My home country) but currently I'm visiting Y country ( visit visa status ). Now if I do get asked to do my medical is it possible I can still go ahead and do my medical from Y country. Or do I have to go back to my home country which is "X" to do my medical there.

Country Y where I am visiting do have recognized medical center where they process Canadian Medical for Permanent Residency FYI.

I am just planning to stay in Y until I get asked to submit my passport.

Please anyone with proper insight help me out.

Appreciate in advance.

Medical can be done anywhere / any country. Doesn't matter.

You can even submit your passport in Y (as long as there's a VFS or somewhere to submit).

I think the only thing you'd have to go back to home country for is interview, and that only if required (rare these days as even those required mostly done virtually).

@armoured so you mean I can submit my passport too in Y country even if I have a visitor status here?

Also I’m little confused as my application is processed in Singapore Visa Office because the country X where I belong from do not have their own Canadian Embassy or Consulate so applications from my country are processed in Singapore. However Country Y where I’m visiting at the moment has a Canadian Embassy/Visa Office as well as VFS. So If I had to submit my passport in Y country would I submit it to the VFS or just take it to the Canadian Visa Office in country Y?

I got a little confused with all your different countries etc.

Let's make this simple: any country you are in where VFS is 'empowered' (paid) to accept Canadian visa stuff - that's a country where you can submit directly through that VFS. This is basically all countries.

VFS (and a couple other companies but at any rate called VAC visa application centres - not Cdn govt but some third party) collects your biometrics and physical passports. The Visa Offices - mainly at Canadian embassies and consulates abroad, these are the govt - print the physical visas. VAC takes care of dealing with your submission and the logistics back and forth. (There are a couple of exceptions where applicants send them direct to embassy/consulate).

If your app is with Singapore because you're in Bangladesh, or Myanmar, or whatever: you can still submit your passport for the visa/copr in singapore, or Dhaka, or New York, New Zealand, Bamako, or Johannesburg. Etc. That's why the VACs exist.

If you are in the 'area' covered by singapore, it might mean your passport is stamped in singapore. If in an area covered by Mexico City, then Mexico. Not your worry. You submit to VFS (or whomever) in Port-of-Spain Trinidad, and they send it to ... wherever they send it to for the visa. Not your concern.

Thank you @armoured. Makes sense
I warn, it can sometimes be not clear, just because some VFS offices don't know all this - the VFS offices usually 'serve' several dozen countries incl Canada.

Walk in to the VFS office in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea and say you need a PR visa and here's your passport request but your file/visa office is in Seoul, they might get confused. But it\'d eventually get worked out, you just might need to ask a couple times - like anywhere, the people answering the phone rarely know everything. (In reality I think they'd send it to embassy/consulate in sydney australia, but if IRCC decided to do it in some other place - not your concern).
