No, I did not get any update about it being dispatched but I kept the tracking number off of the return envelope that was sent with the passport and I checked the tracking number yesterday and it shown as being picked up by Canada Post and the passport was received today.

Hi all,

wanted to share my situation and see what you guys think:

I applied for TRV from within Canada on Nov 21 2022. I have gotten no response to my application yet. Page still says 'We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.' which is just so frustrating. On this past Tuesday, I submitted a web form to ask about my application as it's passed the 23 days processing time. No replies yes :(

I was planning on traveling back home like around Feb 18-20. Do you think I might be lucky enough to get my visa approved before? Does submitting the webform really do anything?

Thanks

I would contact your MP to see if they can reach out. My spouse applied within Canada on Nov 25 and we received his passport back today. He is on work permit.

Thank you. I'll call them/visit their office on Monday. Did you have to do the same for your spouse?
We visited their office. My spouse has work permit and because we were applying for PR he never extended or re-applied for his trv. His mother passed away and he applied for his trv immediately. We were still in the processing time frames when we asked the MP office if we could rush it with a copy of death certificate, obviously it’s always up to the issuing officer but our MP office sent the request the next day along with the death certificate and a letter from my spouse requesting the same and the next day it was approved and had passport request. I don’t know if it was just our time in the processing timeframe or if the MP office actually played a role in that. But since you are out of the processing timeframes I would most definitely see if your local MP can help.
