I was talking to a new employee at my work yesterday and he mention that his son did his oath in last month December 2022. He did his citizenship test in 2019. It took 4 years to reach at a decision. I asked that he did not raise any inquiry. He told that his son was not worried about it even he never made any account with ircc. He was totally rely on emails and doing all communication and submitting documents through mails.

My friend applied by paper and received it quickly so i decided to do the same. Took us both around 40 days including mailing. It’s your choice. Maybe we got lucky.

LOL. Yeah I guess our problem is that we care too much about this. Similarly I have a friend that is completely unfazed about the process and honestly I'd love to care less too.

Every time I log in to check status of my application it's like checking a lottery ticket. I care less about it eventually, checking it once every 2-3 days, what has to come will come, at this point I think there is nothing to push the application any faster to decision made.

To be honest with you, we as applicants have done our part by giving the test, everything else is on them. Just have to wait.

You submitted your application on Aug 27 and Aor Nov 9 and your background completed on Dec 31, then our Sep applicants can really have some movement this month. Anyone applied at early Sep in this group? I applied on Sep 24, hoping to hear something at the end of this month.

Updated: Background verification status has been updated to Completed Jan 2023.
I requested MP's office to look into my application in December 2022 and ordered GCMS in Dec 2022.
How more long should I expect to receive oath ceremony invitation? I'm traveling abroad very soon
