I lived in India for more than 6 months during the pandemic. So I need a PCC from India. I applied by post to the BLS
to BLS Brampton by Purolator. I provided all the documents asked for in the official checklist available on their website here: https://www.blsindia-canada.com/toronto-jurisdiction/pdf/Checklist-and-Information-Booklet-for-PCC1.pdf , including:
a) copy of signed checklist
b) Application form
c) copy of Indian passport
d) copy of residence proof in canada (recent utility bill)
e) copy of status in Canada (PR card)
f) Fees Demand Draft
g) Photograph.
That is, there was no document that was requested on the website checklist that was not provided. However, my application status shows that BLS is returning my application because I didn't provide "valid indian address proof" - despite the fact that this requirement was not mentioned on their own website and the customer care agent didn't mention it either when I confirmed by phone.
Did any of you need to provide address proof in India for getting a PCC? What documents did you all provide?
