Hello,
I will be applying for citizenship in January. Some people say we should submit copies of passport (all pages whether they have entry stamps or not) and other people say not required. Please advice me if you have submitted copies of all passport pages or not. Also, should we translate entry stamps if they are not in English?

Thanks

I think the instruction guide addresses these questions... it seems to be asking (paper application, at least) to submit passport copies. some people might be lucky enough to complete the process without submitting it, but question is do you want to take the risk of application getting returned or getting delayed...

No, that's not what guide says. It asks to submit ALL the pages:

colour photocopy of all pages (valid or expired) of your passport(s) or travel document(s) during your (5) year eligibility period

Lets' put it this way. The application guide provides guidance on the minimum requirements for a complete application, that is if you follow the guideline to the word your application will get into the processing pool. Paper applications require colored copies of all passports the applicant held during the eligibility period. I don't know much about the passport requirements for online application, I believe from my readings that only the biometrics page is required, however later processing, online applicants receive requests to send copies of all passport pages. Either way, copies of all passport pages will be required.

The main reason for passport pages is to verify the physical presence criteria, hence officers must check the entry and exit stamps. It makes perfect sense to translate any non-English or French stamps into English or French. I would recommend that you send colored scanned copies of all passport pages accompanied by translations of any non-English or French stamps if you can, this should answer any questions the officer might have regarding your physical presence or passports.

Best of luck with your application

hi- just saw your post, where you had the pages translated from, can you share
what is the cost of translation
I got my translations done through this organization: http://www.docsbase.ca/home
It was for the business visas and entry/exit stamp translations for Saudi
I was charged in total $35 for 4 pages of translation.
Notarized translations were sent by email as a pdf. I sent the pdf via a webform.
It took a day to complete this..

also for residence visa in UAE do we put date as visa stamp for end date or date when residence visas are cancelled, technically residence visa in uae get cancelled when you cancel it and exit country

UAE visa you dont need translations as the visa are in english and entry/exit dates are mostly follow the Georgian calendar. I had been a long time UAE resident.
If your question is with regards to immigration status then I would recommend putting one entry showing first ever UAE visa start date and the date your visa was cancelled(which when you exit the country), even though we know UAE residence/work visas gets renewed multiple times.

thanks, so UAE entry and exit stamps are only one I am worried as they are appearing on passport pages which fall in my eligibility period. so Seems like I am good here and don’t need any translations.

also thanks for clarifying the residency thing. just to cover up I will add letter of explanation as well as I don’t want person reviewing to see date of exit as date of validity and when they review passport copies residency visa end date is different

never thought each question will have to be answered so carefully
