He received the request on Dec 8 and he did the FP on 9th. On Dec 18th they marked as FP received and on 19th his BC was completed.

Are there any statistics on the timeline of online applicants? I have seen the tracker and it seems it takes longer times for online applicants. I don't know if the earlier months were updated or not, but does anybody have any information?

If you plan to travel after oath invite, then you need to reschedule your oath ceremony because you need to be physically present in Canada for the Oath.

If you plan to travel after oath invite, then you need to reschedule your oath ceremony because you need to be physically present in Canada for the Oath.

Thanks. I thought the oath ceremony was done online. When you say physically present, does it mean Oath ceremony happens at a specific place or is it just that your presence in the country is required ?

Even if your Oath Ceremony is virtual, you need to be physically present on Canadian soil to take the oath of citizenship

Depends on the processing office, anywhere between few weeks to months.

You have to be Canada for the Oath, and during the oath you will be required to cut your PR card. So basically on the day of the oath you will cease to be a PR of Canada and will become a citizen. The implication is that you will not have the PR card to re-enter Canada. The further process will not be easy and not advisable. Better to delay your oath ceremony if you have to travel outside of Canada without Canadian Passport. You will easily get another slot for Oath in a couple of months.

Not right away. about 15-20 days to get the citizenship certificate. And then you would need to apply for the passport. You can apply for an emergency passport which is delivered the next day.

I didn't call IRCC to know my previous office, but Vancouver requested the FP.
