Hi folks,

For those who filed an outland application, did you select your spouses home country visa office or a different office?

My spouse is currently in Canada. We are living together. She has a visitor visa.

It would be too much hustle to go to her home country that is in South East Asia if we select her home country. She eventually needs to submit her password for the PR visa.

How did you manage this conflict?

Thank you for your feedback.

I don't understand what you're talking about. You don't choose your visa office.

When the file is finally approved, you can submit the passport through a visa application centre anywhere in the world. If you're in Canada whne the time comes, current practice is a virtual landing - it's done with computers and the cloud or something.

There's a small chance she'd have to attend interview in home country / region if she applies outland - but those have been virtual since covid started. (Cf computers, cloud). Interviews are not that common anyway.
