Application exceeded normal processing times - Efficient ways to get IRCC attention

Hi guys,
I'm Oct 2020 applicant and my application is still pending ( only Test + BG completed); I'm sure I'm not the only one riding that boat.

I would appreciate sharing your experiences for those who passed by a similar situation and successed to unblock their application.
I tried almost everything 1) contacting my MP (was not helpful) ; 2) Webforms ( never received an answer) 3) Emails to Test invit ( no answer as well) 4) Calling (never had a chance to talk to anyone).

I am an Oct.2020 applicant as well. I am facing the same situation as yours (bg and test completed). I have submitted my fingerprints on Sept.2021. As the FP was only valid for one year, on Dec.16,2022, I received another email to request another FP. I have re-do the submission last week.
I tried all the methods you did.
Contacting my MP. (Not very helpful but as least they can reach one of the representative to access my file.)
Webforms. (No reply)
Email the test email. (No reply)
Calling. (General answer: your application is under review.)
BTW my application is processing at Scarborough Office.

If you have the money drag them to the court or make a group of people with same situation and find a lawyer that way the expenses will be less

I tried twice and no mouvements. my PM told me even that requesting them is putting the application in hold during the processing time

While this is COMPLETELY out of your control or influence, there is a thread specific thread for delayed application and mandamus; you may want to look for it and exchange notes with some of the active members there.

Hi,

I also applied for Citizenship on Oct 2020 and received AOR in Jan 2021. It's already 25 months still I received my AOR. My application has exceeded normal processing times at this moment (23 months) . Until now only Citizenship Test and Background verification shows completed status. Rest of the steps are still in progress. I haves submitted an webform enquiry 3 weeks back and has not received any answers. I also called on the IRCC contact number and after weeks of call not being transferred to an agent finally I cloud talk to an agent. She could at least confirm me that the application is still under process and not pending for any action on myside. I simply need to wait and keep an eye on my email. Also one more thing to mention is... Even though on my application status page, there is no update since Jul 2021 (Test result), I can see on the top left corner of the page mentioned "Updated in Dec 2022". which means something is updated in my application but in the background or some officer just had a look at it... never know.
Hope others have better luck!

lawyer sent notice to IRRC: Aug 2023

gcmsnotes ordered Sept2023: processing application no new information.

lastghost update on tracker:April 2023

please help me or advice what to do?

Are you sure your last update wasn't Oct 27th?
Have you called them and said how it is long overdue and the ways in which it has impacted you and to send an immediate note to your officer. Tell them you suspect your officer has retired. Also send a webform and email your processing office asking to acknowledge your email, it might grab their attention or it might not but every agent is different so you can keep trying until you get through to someone who has a little empathy!
Continue to do this until they respond!
You can also order GCMS notes again!

I already ordered gcms notes and recieved them. My lawyer is even involved since 2 months. They are not even bothered. I am telling my lawyer to go to court but he insists on waiting a little more.

You mentioned that you ordered it in September, order it again.
