New born in India for Parents with TRV work permit in Canada

Hi,
We are both Work permit holders. My wife is now going to India to have delivery in India.
Can anyone help me with the queries on new born baby in India getting visa to travel back with us?

1. Does he/she need to apply for TRV itself? that means visa medical for new born? this takes longer processing time overall?
2. OR get the baby on normal visitors visa (when baby is around 3 months old) and can we apply for TRV while in Canada?

what you our experts suggest here? any help appreciated!

Congratulations. The baby will need a TRV to enter.

is visa medical required? if yes, that needs to be done at some minimum age or something?

There is no expedited processing. Check visa processing times but most likely 5-6 months. An infant is not processed faster. Medical will be required if asked but typically not for a TRV.

Your baby will need an Indian passport first. Application for TRV can take a few months. When does your WP expire? Are you currently working in Canada?

Yes we can hopefully get passport within first month.
Would like to get them 3-4 months itself.

yes WP is ther and expires with my passport by end 2024 but will be reissued by company later.

what more can you comment on this?

What do you mean that your WP will be reissued? How long have you been living and working in Canada and it what province? Are you both going to India or just your wife? This is important information because coming to Canada and then leaving has consequences. Once you get your Indian passport would anticipate it could take up to 3-4 months to get a TRV although if your application is processed by AI system then it could be much faster. Do not book any travel before getting the visa.

We both have valid WP till end of 2024. Currently only wife is going to India for delivery (which is expected in mid 2023)
