It shows application status updated on Dec 16 but no real updates... Everything is same as what it was prior .. Same thing happened in Oct too..

If you delay your oath, there is no guarantee that they will reschedule you in the next available slot. You may have to wait months for the next oath date. I would rather get it over with and not recommend delaying it...

Additionally, if it is an in-person oath, you need to check if it is open to public (because of COVID-19). Only then, you may be able to bring guests in. You may search in-person oaths schedule here:

You can try. The worst thing that can happen is they say no or just don't respond. If it's that important to you that you have your spouse with you on that day then for sure you can make a request.
But fair warning is if they agree to postpone the date, there's no guarantee of getting another time slot soon. So choose wisely

You'll have to wait till you get your oath "Notice to Appear" e-mail (usually a week or so before the oath) and and follow instructions in the e-mail once you receive it

Finally My Physical presence, language skills and prohibitions were completed on Dec 15th but the oath ceremony hasn't started. Any idea on how long does it take for them to send the invites for the oath ceremony?

it can take anywhere for 1 month to 3 months. Did you noticed this change just now after the GU on Dec 15? I had a gu on Dec 16 as well but nothing has changed for me thus far. We are waiting on oath update.

I noticed this after the GU on Dec 15th. Most people are getting the oath ceremony dates as well but for me it hasn't started. Seems like there is going to be another wait time of 1 to 3 months

I have a question. I moved from Montreal to Mississauga while my application status is in Progress. I called IRCC couple of times and got very different responses. 1st person said he will initiate a request to transfer my file because I have moved. (He updated my address to new address). After few weeks, I called back to ask if transfer is done, this time the person told me transfer is not required and if I want it, I can request it myself & he sent a me email with instructions on how to do that.

I don't know now if I should request a transfer or if 1st person actually requested it... Needless to say, my application status has not changed since Jun and now I am thinking if this confusion is going to further complicate matters .. Anyone has faced this / knows what to do.. please let me know
