Hire an immigration lawyer and have them file mandamus to push a decision for your application.

Hi , new guy here my name is Kay!
1) I applied for PR after my NOD on June 29th.
2) I got an email the same day stating that my application has been received and I should await an email with my AOR.
3) Never got any email with my AOR after or the letter with the x number.
4) The application only shows "submitted" on the portal
Should I be worried ?
Combed through timelines on here with people getting their AOR almost immediately or within weeks.
My application was done online.
Happy holidays to everyone

How did you track your application without an application number from the AOR?

Hi Kay @beekaydue,
Based on personal experience, the application will be the same with the temporary number provided without the X. For example, if your temporary application number is XB11111111, once they start to process your application, the new application number will change to B11111111. Try use the temporary number provided without the X.

Just remove the x from the temporary number and that is your application number

Thanks for the response @Jakiewuyi !
Never got a temporary application number after I submitted my application on June 29th online. So I am a bit worried, should I be? Is this normal?

can I use a Notarized NOD from the Counsel portal or do I need to wait for the original one to arrive and then scan it and upload it?

Hi everyone,
I need help. I applied for travel document on April 2018. The last correspondence I received was in November 2019. My application has been stuck in background check since then. I have made numerous phone calls and send multiple webforms. All I have been told is application is stuck on background check. I hired a lawyer and he couldn't help me. My MP has been calling IRCC and the excuse they gave her is that my background check is being done by a third party and they don't know how long it will take. I am exhausted and I feel that my application has been neglected. I have done everything I can and I don't have any options but to wait. Any body else who is my situation?
So do have PR already? For Travel Document to take this long is strange, sometimes I wonder what kind of background check the immigration is doing this is not justifiable they do not care how the people whom apply for all this Document feel. I applied for PR since 2020 and am stock in background check. I have also done everything I can but nothing seems to be working. Am just tired of the system to be honest. Right now my two kids that I left behind in the US don't even recognize me anymore. I pray God will help us all.
