Hello all. I submitted an online application to sponsor my spouse and went to my home country for a vacation. Now my application is returned. Can I submit it again before returning to Canada. Will there be any complications. TIA

if you are on vacation yes you can, the most important question is are you going to make significant changes to your application and re-apply ? because it was returned for a reason .

The reason for return was signatures missing in couple of forms. My concern is I read in the cic website that a pr has to live in Canada to sponsor a wife. Hence the doubt. Thanks for clarifying. :):)

A PR does have to live in Canada during the process. A short trip of just a few weeks is ok but they must be in Canada. Only a citizen can be abroad.

living in Canada doesn't mean you cant be in a different place ,thing is are you residing in Canada, working in canada and filling your taxes in canada as a PR .

Do NOT submit while out of Canada. They do seem to look closely at this. Enforcement of how long a sponsor can be out of Canada is spotty and inconsistent, but those who submit while out of Canada do have issues.

law and opinion are two different things ,if you are not residing outside the country as a citizen you can apply ,but you have to return at the same time ( better before the sponsored ) arrives ,having a house, a job and connections in Canada is to your favor ,all the rest is a personal opinion .
