Hi, hope everyone is doing well. So, one of my friend has applied for visit visa of canada. Along with other documents He has shown good amount money as his bank balance. Now he has question on how the banking information of outside canada would be inquired by IRCC while processing the file. His main concern is if ircc call or email and nobody respond from bank then would it affect the file? does ircc really inquire bank info? Or just they see paper from bank and they trust and consider. Please suggest on that topic. Thanks

If canada has an embassy in the country, surely they will get the information needed. Some banks also have policies not to disclose information about clients. But one way or the other, bank statements are often verified usually not through phone calls. Provided you provided legit statements, there is nothing to worry about
They judge the application based on the documents submitted by the applicant. If they have any concerns about those documents, they contact the applicant to request evidence to verify they are genuine.
