Hello, I am sponsoring my wife using the family class Outland process. We applied when we were living in Japan and we have since moved to Vancouver Canada. My wife is currently here as a visitor. The Ready for Visa email is asking for Appendix B, passport photocopy, 2photos and a copy of the email. They also wanted us to email our receipt for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee to MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca which I have done already.

I’m confused about where to send the documents they are asking for. The email states:

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS All required documents must be submitted in one single package.
A) To submit your package while overseas: Please submit your package to the nearest Visa Application Centre along with the VAC Passport Transmission fee. For Passport Transmission instructions and fee details, please visit: https://vfsglobal.ca/canada/
B) If you are currently in Canada, you are not required to submit your passport and will be landed virtually. Please advise our office via webform within 5 days of receipt of this letter if you and/or any of your dependents are in Canada. Please include each person’s name/UCI and where they are currently staying/residing (in Canada or overseas).

So we are currently living in Canada but the email didn’t give an address to send the documents…it just says to send a webform message which I already did the first time I received this email which was on September 13th. In the webform message I stated that we are now living in Canada, gave them our address, our names, and uci number. I also asked them to give me the address to send the documents. They didn’t respond to the message, but I received the exact same Ready for Visa email with a final reminder added to it.

Do I send the Documents on the webform?

Do I mail it using this address even though it says Temporary Resident Visa Section

I click on the link it sends me to this page

Do I send it here, even though it says Canada Class?

I'm on the same boat. Outland applicant now in Vancouver.

My understanding is that, since your spouse is in Canada right now, they need to do a virtual landing. To do this the process is for them to first respond to your webform via email. They will ask you for your current address and a photo, then they would send a second email with the credentials for your spouse to sign in to the PR portal, where she will need to confirm some of the information on the portal and do the actual virtual landing.

Once that is done, then they will mail you the COPR to the listed address. I also believe you could also access the eCOPR via the portal.

I would try to find the email for the VAC in Japan that you would have sent the documents to and let them know that you are in Canada and have requested Ottowa to do the virtual landing. That way, at least they will know why they have not received your documents.

For the NY VAC, the email address I found in one of the forum threads is CNGNYIM-PR-RP@international.gc.ca. In my case, I told them I had sent a webform to Ottowa over a month ago but was still waiting for a response, and to please send me the PR portal credentials. They responded after 4 days and said that they were forwarding my request to Ottowa, since that is where my application is being processed. That was 5 days ago and have not heard back from Ottowa yet.

Hope it helps.

I called IRCC today and they said that they received my webform last Friday, the day after the NY VAC forwarded my email to them. Now I'm hoping I'll get the PR portal credentials in the next few days.

It could be just a coincidence, but maybe it helped to get the NY VAC to flag my application to Ottowa. Hopefully reaching out to the VAC in Japan can have a similar effect on your spouse's application.

Congratulations!
Honestly surprised you were able to call them. The line keeps cutting off when I do.

So I finally got through to IRCC via phone call just now. The representative couldn't find any webform messages I have sent it seemed like and said it takes weeks or months for the webforms to be updated. I sent them updated contact information as we moved from Japan to Canada and our profile was still set as our Japanese address and phone numbers. This was sent months ago... This is super concerning as they want you to message them through webform and they aren't even receiving it. Also when you call, most of the time you get disconnected. Our information has now been updated and the representative has noted that my wife is in Canada. She said I must wait to be contacted again and that it was a good thing I called.....

That's very frustrating... I am still waiting to hear back from the landing CIC team in Calgary. I'll let you know once I hear back from them. Keep me posted about your situation and good luck!

So just an update on this we got the IRCC portal email on Dec 14th. You have reply back to the email they send you with the infromation they ask for. After that it took about 5 days to get the Portal link from them. Right now we are waiting for the PR card to arrive in the mail box.

Hi Mkoya,

Just to confirm, it took IRCC 3 months since you sent the webform to respond back to you and provide portal email?

Also, you mention that your wife is in Canada as a visitor. May I ask how long was she given to stay by the CBSA officer at the airport? Was it full 6 months?

What kind of questions they asked her? Also, did your wife show "returned ticket" purchased when she first arrived at the canadian aiport?

Do you still need to submit passport for virtual landing?

I will be brining my wife in February 2023 with visitor visa while her PR is still in processing. We only bought one-way ticket and i am hoping border agent won't make an issue out of it. So just wanted to know the details above so that I can plan accordingly and inform IRCC Singapore office.
