Thank you for your feedback. I did mention in my SOP that I am still working for a small business and how lack of post secondary education in Business field has hindered me from applying to better positions in my home country. I also mentioned how I am choosing this program because of its short and concise nature so I don’t have to take a lengthy break from my career if I were to do a bachelors.

Not sure how seeing good prospects as a future Canadian employee would lead to them overlooking my career advancement. Aren’t we supposed to show that we will return back to home country for better opportunities?
A college degree in business is not considered a very good qualification. Wouldn’t lead to better opportunities than you already have.

I have researched job postings in India and there are numerous positions where candidates with good amount of work experience/skills coupled with a diploma can get jobs that pay almost double than what I’m currently earning. The only thing I missed in my SOP is not including the exact links to such postings but I did mention them in writing. I’ll still hope for the best. Thank you for your valuable time :)

Ok. But a 2 year diploma is not a good choice but if you are determined then go ahead. You don’t need to study in Canada. Wish you all the best.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, got refusal. The same reason as many other applicants are seeing lately.
Details not consistent with temporary stay. Filing for GCMS to know the full picture and will move forward from there onwards.

Did you clear your eligibility review?

You have an 8 year gap and applied for a general business diploma so that is most likely the reason. Why take a general business program in Canada to justify the costs? Guess you are in your mid 20s with no post secondary education so consider a pubic university with a specialization.

I would love to take a bachelors in a public university if I had the financial resources and 4 year time to do so. I chose the 2 year program because it fit into my budget and duration of study. According to the Global Affairs Canada website, "Whatever your budget may be, you’ll find something just right for you in our diverse range of education options."

I know many guys with identical profile as me who had even larger gap after high school and got their visas a couple of months ago for a same 2 year business diploma. I guess it all boils down to 50% luck and 50% presentation. Will wait for GCMS and move forward from there. Appreciate your support.

You aren’t even quoting from an official government site. Quoting from immigration consultant site so they will tell you what you want to hear. Honestly many people on the forum say they know someone with the identical profile who got approved but you shouldn’t compare. You will need to strengthen and most likely change your program. A university degree is three years. An honours degree is four years.
