What's up?what level are you now? Am curious bcos I applied as wellyep. in the small print it says you only need to submit IELTS if you're looking to claim points for it. i was already well over the passmark without it so thought I'd save myself the expense and the hassle. We'll see in time if it workd!
Hi, I'm now in a holding pattern waiting to hear from the visa office. I passed me medicals back in Feb so not it's just a case of waiting for someone somewhere to rubber stamp the application or say no.What's up?what level are you now? Am curious bcos I applied as well
You're probably the first here who's decided not to take any language tests and made it Well but English is your native language.Hi, I'm now in a holding pattern waiting to hear from the visa office. How's your app going?
Agree 100%. If English isn't your native tongue, even if you're really good at it, and your work is going to need it, definitely take the IELTS.You're probably the first here who's decided not to take any language tests and made it Well but English is your native language.
For those whose first language is not English/French and if your intended occupation requires certain language ability (to communicate with clients etc), I still believe it's better to prove certain level of either of the 2 official languages of Canada.
Woohoo! Congratulations!!!Well, time has come to update this.
I'm going to call it and say it's good news.
I've submitted my required passport photos, copy of my passport photo page, the 6 page letter (the "you have 30 days to comply" one) as requested to complete my application and finalise my COPR.
MADE IT BABY!!!!
I have no idea. I'm not an immigration lawyer or specialist. For the form IMM0008 SCHEDULE 6A, I had a TOEFL score of 91 in 2013, but it is 2022. It may be expired. I have had a master's degree and two bachelor's degree and an associate degree in the USA. The school acknowledges and believes in my English proficiency because it was approved by the Master's degree in university. I do not need to give English proficiency anymore to schools after master's degree. Can my graduate certificate of master's degree and two bachelor degree in USA give prove my English ability, and not provide an IELTS test( I do not have an IELTS test before)?
I think you can go with your strategy. Master's degree in the US demonstrates your English ability and knowledge of western culture maybe. this will help to support that you can survive in Canadian Environment as a self employed person, but not a guarantee. As for English Tests Results, you just won't get the point for language if you don't provide them, which will not hurt your chances of getting approved for PR as long as you score above 35 with other factors. For the form IMM0008 SCHEDULE 6A, I had a TOEFL score of 91 in 2013, but it is 2022. theguv seems you have been on this journey since 2019. Wow CongratWoohoo! All done and dusted.
Landed at Pearson, went throught the arrivals kiosk (used ArriveCan app to preload my customs declaration), border agent level 1 passed me to level 2 and he stamped my COPR.
The only thing I need to query is the Section 32 2.02 medical surveillance note on the COPR.
I've passed 2 medicals already and I can't understand why this is on my COPR... I'll message IRCC and report back.
But it's a done deal other than that!
It's been a long ride...theguv seems you have been on this journey since 2019. Wow Congrat
