Hello everyone!
I got invited for PGP '22 and I'm hoping someone can clarify something for me. On IMM1344 Sponsor eligibility assessment, it says there "If you answer YES to question 5 and you are sponsoring a spouse, common- law partner, you are not eligible to be a sponsor."
#5: In the 5 yrs preceding this application, did you become a PR after being sponsored as a spouse etc? My answer is YES as I became PR in 2017, but I'm still eligible to sponsor my mom right? Just a little paranoid. Thank you!

Hi, my mother-in-law received the pre-arrival service email. Normally how long it takes to get the passport request after Pre-arrival letter?

Thanks for this heads up!

One question : I received the passport request letter addressed to my Father (principal applicant), and my Mother's name (dependant) is NOT mentioned in the letter. Is this normal?
Hi,

Yes its one same letter for all. It would only come as Principle Applicant only

Thanks

You became PR in last 5 years, but did your spouse sponsor you for that ? If not, then select NO

Hello,

I am almost at the final stage of my PGP application. My parents submitted their PCC on Sept 15 and we are now waiting for the pre-arrival services letter .

Question: My mom's (PA) Canadian visa has expired. So for the entry and PR landing (expected Spring 2023), does she need a visitor visa? Or is the PPR document be enough for entry and landing?

Thanks

Passport will be submitted and stamped with a one-time visa for parents to land. No need to apply for another visitor visa if she doesn't wish to come to canada at an earlier date.

I am in the same situation as you. I have both application and UCI numbers and on a daily bases, I have been trying to link to GCkey. Still unable to. Is there any other way? The information I entered are correct. For the last question I entered 5
1. myself,
2. cosigner,
3. mum and
4. Two dependents that she will be coming with.
Total of 5.
Are 2 dependents of Mom ( like your sibling) or your children? If your children then don’t count .

I need some help. I got an email in April indicating that our address didn't match the one that was used to initially indicate interest for lottery. We had moved a few houses down and I completely forgot to update the address online. In any case, I provided all the documents that they request to prove that we had moved in April. It is now October and I have heard nothing. It looks like many others have heard something and things are moving along. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone else?

one comforting thing in this system is that although you are not getting a prompt answer or lets say an AOR, your file wasn't returned ( thats good news ) patience is the key until you hear back from them and know the status of your file ,the processing time is still long way from done since the day everyone applied .

Hello, looking for some guidance on form IMM5768 question 14. I am single in 2019, 2020 and 2021. My parents came to visit me in Dec 2021. I am sponsoring both my parents. So, under family size should I put "1" or "3"?

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. Can I live in another country after submitting application to sponsor my parents?
I submitted the application in Dec 2021 and it's still in process. Now we want to go and live in USA for work. Does anything happen to my parents sponsorship application due to us residing in another country while application is in process?

Hello,

I am new to the forum. I really appreciate if someone can help with a similar experience.

My mom got the letter for the passport request three weeks ago. I did send the passport the following day.

My mother is currently here on a visit visa.
However, I got a letter today along with the passport stating:

“Please note that we are returning your original documents without a Confirmation of Permanent Residence visa being issued. We want to assure you that this does not affect the decision of your application.

A visa office will contact you with information on confirming your status as a permanent resident”

the only explanation I think about is that her passport will expire in exactly 5 months and 2days.

Thanks!

Application timeline
Received application: March 2, 2021
Started processing: April 6, 2022
Request for medical: June 6, 2022
Pre Arrival Service letter: June 22,2022
Medical submitted: June 28, 2022
PCC request: June 23, 2022
PPC submitted: August 23, 2022
Request to submit passport: October 12, 2022

Hi,

Yes I was sponsored by my spouse. So I'm still eligible to sponsor my mom correct? Thank you!
