We'll be grateful for it.

Sent via Purolator Aug 2nd (Surrey bls)
Acknowledgement August 13th and requested a new application again.
Application sent again on August 19th.
New acknowledgment September 7th.
Oci status started showing September 16th
Processed October 11
Dispatched from MEA and received Vancouver on October 14th.
Then after bls site still show processing at consulate general
Something maybe next week?

guys when submitting OCI walk-in application in Brampton, kindly print out complete checklist including the instructions.
I only took the first page of the checklist and they said they need full checklist including instructions.

they ask you for unnecessary copies that are not even required so that you use their service for making copies and they can charge you extra.
They charge you around $2 for one copy which is ridiculous, such a rip off

Be careful of there frauds, they should be exposed for their frauds they been doing for years now.

Such a shame that despite of so many complains Indian embassy is taking no action on BLS.

Lol. and if you ask them for a checklist there, they will give (sell) you only the 1st page. absolute scum.

Can you share the timeline from submitting an application to BLS, acknowledged to the processed date?

I submitted my application at Brampton BLS (Walk-in) on 9th Sept
BLS tracker started showing the status "Processing at CGI" on 11th Sept
On 14th Oct for the first time the status on BLS tracker got updated to "Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping"

The status on OCI website never existed in my case. Until today it shows "No such record found".

Registration Status at Mission TORONTO
Documents Printing Status PROCESSED On 08-OCT-2022
Dispatched From MEA (OCI ) NEW DELHI On 08-OCT-2022
The document received In TORONTO On 08-OCT-2022
Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping on 09-OCT-2022
Dispatched and Received by Purolator on 14th OCT-2022

Travelling to India on 20th OCT-2022

I know from this forum that the Surrender Certificates processing was faster (at least 1 month ago). You can do the SC. and then apply for Visa to travel to India. I know my friend who got Visa in total 5 days, for his kid. (meanwhile you can also have OCI in progress - They dont need originals for Toronto Jur).

I ended up applying for surrender cert and 6-month Entry Visa. Decided to not apply OCI as I was worried about processing times.

They said 3 weeks for surrender processing and just 1 week for Entry Visa. They've also confirmed I can travel once I get visa even if surrender application is still processing.

Do you know if I can also apply for OCI while I still have a valid visa? Or should I just apply this once I return?

Try checking the status with a different browser. I get a "No such record found" error in Chrome and an "Under-Process" status in Safari & Edge.

(Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping)

Also there is a shipment number below.

So may be on its way.
