All the things are 100% correct and I agree. I am here just stating that there should be some criteria to increase the odds for the people who have lived more here then then ones who just came recently in my opinion.

There were indications that IRCC may have been working on this before Covid and changes to PGP were supposed to be announced right around when Covid hit. There will be controversy no matter what IRCC does to the program. How will you determine priority? Years you have applied for PGP, years making over LICO while a PR or count time when not PR, years living in Canada, years working in Canada, etc. Agree that there should be priority for people who have been waiting the longest. Some have applied for PGP and qualified for 5-10 years. And not been selected. No matter what is decided there will be controversy. Given that most countries with public healthcare don’t allow parent sponsorship with access to healthcare allowing parent sponsorship whether through lottery or other means is still very lucky.

Hi just wanted to know if PGP opens this year towards the end which years of income will be required? 2020, 2021, and 2022? Since we net file taxes starting feb each year most ppl dont get NOA until first week of march (the earliest) Once we submit the interest to sponsor form n later on we r invited to apply it will be in 2023 correct? When do they update the minimum income required chart?

Finally, I received some communication from my consultant. We have received Medical Request. I have a question. I applied for my mother's Super Visa this month and did Upfront Medical Exam last week. Now, I received Medical Request for PGP, then would the medical exam I did last week work for PGP also? The medical exam form I received from the hospital has the medical exam type as Visitor. Or would I have to get another medical exam again?

Parents will only get provincial healthcare coverage after they landed as PR (plus some other conditions that's different in each province).
PGP had been on a lottery based. And there's no details about 2022 PGP yet.

Visitor, super visa both need your own out of pocket care or private travel health insurance coverage.

IN Ontario there is a 3 month wait before you can receive healthcare coverage- once 3 months have passed you can apply.

Hi, does interest to sponsor form usually opens in October? I know there are speculation that it might not open at all in 2022.

Invitations are being sent out now. 2 weeks starting from October 12th. Invitations will be sent to the people who applied in 2020 and have not received invitations previously. I think there are still around 155k people in that pool and invitations will be sent to 23k people.
Waiting and hoping begins!! All the best!!

I got an invitation to sponsor on Oct 12th after going through the checklist realised you need parents birth certificate...my mother is 83 years old and does not have birth certificate....what do I do ?

I dont think so,, you only need your birth certificate. not your parents

does it include spousal undertaking too? I have sponsor my spouse last year , now spouse has PR .. or this will only include undertaking for PGP only and doesn't include spousal sponsorship you have sponsor previously.

IRCC will go by the date she was born eventually ...lik e everyone else on the application

The date the application is received by IRCC. She has aged out and cannot be included in the application.
