TR to PR - Reassessment medical certificate Question

Hi All,

I got the following from my MP regarding my TR to PR file,

I received the following update from IRCC regarding your TR to PR application:

• Received May 2021
• Eligibility approved
• Security background check approved
• Criminality background check approved
• Medicals approved (had expired, but Reassessment medical certificate issued August 9, 2022)
• File In progress

anyone can explain what "reassessment medical certificate issued" means ? Do I need to do a medical? or is it an extension I got ? Also, been waiting in this position since August with everything passed / completed, when can I expect a final decision ?

They have extended your medical. You don’t need to do anything at the moment. The good thing is that your file is "Ready to finalize", as they call it. However, It seems they have slowed down other programs and are prioritizing FSW, PNP and Spousal Sponsorship applications nowadays. Therefore, it may take a while for you to receive a decision. But you’re on their "favorite’s list" because the officers at IRCC love delicious files (simple to process)
