Hi,

Back in 2013, when the agent was processing my study permit application, he did not include my 2 siblings out of 4. He thought that my father's income combination would not satisfy the sponsorship requirement as my father was the only sponsor for me.

Currently, I am on PGWP and going to apply for PR through express entry. Now I really would like to include them.

Is there anybody who had something similar to my case? I would highly appreciate if you enlighten my knowledge and share/ suggest some information about how I should proceed.

Thank you.

Unfortunately you can not sponsor your siblings under family sponsorship unless they are minors and have been orphaned. They could follow the same path as you have and come study in Canada.

Thanks for your reply. I am now more worried about if I should include all of them in my express entry application or I just keep as it was what agent did.

You can't include them in your application. It is only for your spouse/fiance(e) and children if you have some. Only one exception for sibling sponsorship is if they are minors and your parents have passed away.

I'd be careful. Not telling them is lying (often referred to as misrepresentation). It can come back and bite you later on.

If there is a question that specifically asks for siblings information, then you include info for all of them.

However they are NOT considered family members/dependents for immigration purposes. They will not need to do medicals or police checks, and they will not be included for getting PR status. In general siblings can not be sponsored for PR. Anything you include on them in the app, is strictly for information purposes only for IRCC but should have no impact to your app processing.

Thank you. Since my previous study permit application didn't include my other siblings, now if I include them, I am worried if that causes me any problem like 'misrepresentation. What do you think?

You can mention them in your application but you can't sponsor them.
Thank you. If I mention this time it'll differ my information from the previous one that I did in 2013. I am worried if that would case any problem like misrepresebtation.

Hello mmsyed, I have exactly same situation as you. What did you do finally? Should I include all my siblings at my PR application? I only include one of them at my study permit application.

I disclosed all the correct information on my PR application, regardless of what was happened during study permit application.
