It very much depends on how many files your Visa Office is dealing with. Based on what I have seen in the tracker, and been told by IRCC, the average is around 2 months unless CSIS wants to do a more comprehensive investigation. As an example, here is my experience with the London VO since the time the medical passed, and security checks began.

So based on what IRCC has told me, all of these Ghost updates are considered a normal part of the background check. Typically I see this many ghost updates within the last 4 weeks before Passport Request or Virtual Landing email. I hope this helps...

Thanks, if she lives abroad would she get the CoPR by post or by email or would it be 'linked' to her Italian passport? The reason I am asking is that we will likely change address during the application process and worried that IRCC will send the CoPR letter by post to the old address. If we do the online application, can all be done be email rather than post? or can we put a correspondence address that is not our home address?

As it currently stands for applicants outside Canada, you will get a passport request. The rest of that physical process takes place through whatever VAC is closest, and you provide the address they send it back to.

As of now (as far as I'm aware): ETA passport holders (eg Italy) send in photos and some paperwork and a copy of passport, and get the COPR back through the VAC. For some countries in Europe, eg some served by London, they might do this by post. Again, the passport request will be by email and you provide address to return the COPR to.

So basically no reason to worry about this in advance.

Hi Mili, since our timelines are so similar, curious did IRCC ask you to provide height and eye colour in RFV (PPR) letter ? They didn’t ask us, neither did VFS in the pickup document email they sent us but I see this mentioned a lot around these forums.

haha my wife is the PA, and she used the premium lounge while getting biometrics done , so am guessing it is the premium service? But I don’t think it makes a difference during the PPR process.

I don't know if it makes a difference.. I will have to wait couple of hours to know if my husband took premium or not. Its been 6 days since my passport is under process at IRCC. fingers crossed for it to be dispatch this week.

NO Update since then. PA eligibility and Backgorund has not started yet. I (sponsor) have also recieved eligibility confirmation letter.

Anyone with an update?
