Can I apply for my Parents Visitor Visa being in an Implied Status (as Work Permit holder)?

Hello,

My PGWP expired on May 2022. I am still in Canada continuing to work. I am currently on implied status as I applied for work permit extension before my PGWP expired which is still processing. (yet to apply again through the official PGWP extension portal that was released in Aug 2022)

I have not seen my parents for more than 3 years now. They are in India. I want them to visit me, as I cannot get out of the country. Can I apply for a visitor visa for them now, given my current implied status?

Can someone please help me? (I miss them!!!!)

Your status has little do with their applicaiton. They are the ones applying and need to show their own funds, travel history and ties to home country.
