Ghost updates new Tracker

They received my application on January 26. Unfortunetly this is all normal. The ones that get processed in 6 months or less are usually done in Ottawa. Let us wait for 12 months and then freak out lol

So I wonder how do applications get to Ottawa? How do they decide which ones go where? As much as we appreciate this process, it is overly unfair to the collective and I wish Ottawa will change this one day... There should be a difference between sponsorship/work/study immigration and refugee claims processes... They take the time to evaluate us to see that we're law abiding citizens who will not bring lazy individuals into Canada. If I work hard for my family, contribute to the Canadian economy, best believe that my partner will also do the same. So quit taking so long and reduce the processing time to 6 months for everyone!!!!!

I share your sentiment. It truly is not fair that most cases (a lot of them are Indian) get their cases processed in 6 months or less and the rest of us have to wait atleast 1 year. I think they determine which case is simple and which is more complex. As for I, my husband is Iranian. Iran isnt on good terms with the west. They dont even have a Canadian embassy in Iran. Confirming information is really hard. He also had to serve in the Military for two years. They need to check that he isnt a threat to the Canadian public. The irony is, he wouldn't hurt a fly. We have to suffer because of people in power.

They have seen your application, determined that it is too complex for them to process in Ottawa so they have sent it abroad. Is it fair? No. Are they going to change their policy for you and I? Again No. Hopefully one day though.

Lets just wait it out. We have to at this point.

Medical on Jan 3rd
Medical status updated on Jan 23rd
Eligibility status updated to Completed on March 9th
Pre arrival mail in March
Biometric Request mail got lost apparently (as per IRCC cx service)...submitted a couple of webforms...also CXexec at IRCC raised a request from their side as well....but all this was taking time...
Decided to apply for TRV for wife on April 26th, 2022
got Biometric request mail the very next day...got done with the process by May 2nd.....the biometric details got updated in Spousal PR application account in a week after that as well

Submitted GCMS on May 30th...still no update....

there was an update in the PR tracker on August 1st stating ' we have received you enquiry' ... probably regarding the GCMS request

BG check status updated from 'Not Stated' to 'Completed' on August 31st

was getting plenty of ghost updates from mid July to September 1st

whats your timeline?

do you mean you got TRV for your partner? Did you get it? Do you inform them of your application in progress when you are trying to get a TRV?

I am the sponsor my husband is the PA.

they received our application on January 26, 2022.
We got AOR on April 7, 2022.
We received biometrics letter on June 1st, 2022.
We received the Medical exam letter and sponsor approval on June 2nd, 2022.

He did his biometrics on June 5th.
He did his Medical on June 7th.
The doctor sent it off on June 11.
It updated to "pass" on June 12.

In the Sponsor Approval letter, it read it was being sent to Ankara VO.
On Ecas it read: we have started processing your application on June 6, 2022.

They asked for his PCC on June 13
We gave it to them on July 2nd and that was the last time we heard of them.

Background and eligibility are not started on the PR tracker. We do however, get "ghost updates" regularly on.

If my memory serves me correctly, someone on this platform said they spoke to IRCC representative and they were told the update doesn't reflect when it was actually worked on/updated. Take what you can from that. All I know is nothing is changing on my end- not from what I can see anyway, and that not everyone gets the same day update. I stopped getting updates for 10 days then it started again. In that time period, I kept seeing people talking about their PR tracker update.

i got one today too but i was surprised because its a national holiday , so no-one should be working on our files ,
so does the ghost updates means that someone is working on our files ??

I highly doubt the updates is an actually an update. I think it’s more likely general update on the system. I was getting those updates in July, when I compared 2 set of GCMS notes I received on 05/28/2022 and 08/30/2022 it does not reflected on the file. File stays same location (location: Docs received PR ) no movement or no officer entry note since May, 2022
