If you're applying for a federal PR through CSQ then I think it's safer to follow IRCC's guideline. During my proceess, which is still ongoing, I only followed IRCC's instructions and photograph requirements.

I forgot in which stage I had to send my photographs, but I clearly remember they were in passport sizes.
Yes that's the PR specification. What I need is that for Quebec because IRCC has asked me to contact Quebec for the CSQ of my New Child. So I think Quebec specifications will apply to my child's case. It's only when I'll be forwarding his documents plus his CSQ to IRCC that I'll follow their specification.

Hi guys, I'm under a PR application process through CSQ. My application was submitted in Jan 2020, outside Canada.

I know the estimated time of completion is not accurate, but it was to be done by April 2022 and now 4 months have passed.

I passed my medical exam in March 2022, but had no updates so I wrote a web form basically to ask what's going on in August
and IRCC shortly sent me an instruction letter for biometrics (I think I could've been requested earlier.)

I immediately registered my biometrics which was done 3 weeks ago.
I know PR through CSQ takes times but I now think my case is being some kind of outlier.

Did anyone who applied in 2020 get a result ? or am I the only one who's been stuck somehow?

Thanks!
I just received eCOPR last week and I applied Dec 2020 INLAND. So about 20 months start to finish.

If Outland is more delayed, which I think it is, seems you’re about right on time.

It is bizarre though that you had meds before BIO, but good on you for checking. I wouldn’t use web forms but request ATIP notes instead so you can actually see what’s up with your file in full detail.

I believe you have to have someone in Canada do it for you. It’s $5 and it’s mandated they respond and you can follow up after 30 days of waiting.

Web forms go into the abyss and IF /when they respond, it’s always a generic answer basically telling you wait :(

Good luck with everything!

Thank you very much! I came to know about ATIP. I should check that out.

Another thing I find bizarre now is that I also got pre-arrival service letter; I think right before or after I get my medical exam passed. :/

I assume somehow there was a change in the internal policy so they had some confusion in my application? that's my best guess for now.

Can you please share your insight on the following question? I am asking for my brother who is in a pretty bad situation right now.
He applied on Dec 21, He got the AOR on July, then got a request for more documents (police certificate), he got the pre-arrival letter and shortly after the request for the medicals. The medical exams were marked as approved as of last week. He doesn't need bio as IRCC already has it and hasn't expired yet.
He is really hopeful to get a decision by the end of this month, his MP sent a inquiry regarding his application to IRCC 2 weeks ago and he got a response saying that the only pending item was the medical exam, now that the medical exam is done and approved, do you think that he could be on track for getting a decision in the coming weeks?
What are the typical timelines for Quebec skilled workers pr? How can he know the actual status of his application? Would you recommend that he orders gcms notes?
Many many thanks in advance

Hi,

I guess this is more of a technical question but I would appreciate if anyone that went through the same thing can give an answer.

I recently got the 2nd email stating that I need to answer it with some Infos (Basic stuff) and that after i will be getting an invite to create a PR Portal Account to confirm and ask for my card. Except I already have an account that I used to deposit my PR documents online a few months ago.

Is there anything I need to do to confirm my PR or do I just use the same account and request my Permenanent Residence Card?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

If you applied online, then your profile will just be updated in the same account. Some of us who were paper based needed to get access to the portal so the language is used for everyone. On my end I mistakenly setup an online account before receiving the first email and they were able to track down the profile and link it so even that works out if you are paper based and mistakenly setup a PR portal account too early. So, all in all, you’re all set! Once your eCOPR is approved your account will have a download button to print and sign it. It’s not a travel doc but will allow you to update your SIN, health insurance, etc. Good luck!

You mentioned your brother is in a bad situation. Is he from a war torn country ir something that could be raised to IRCC or is he just tired of waiting (like most of us)?
As you’ve seen on this forum and the one on FB, timelines vary. My medical was favorable on Feb and I only received eCOPR two weeks ago. Some peoples happen right away. No way to tell, but if he applied in Dec 21 and had medical already, his application is literally flying through the process. I’m actually surprised an MP answered and followed up. My application was from Dec 2020 so took me almost 2 years for approval. Some here are even longer. So, anyone giving you a definite answer I wouldn’t trust. It’s all up to IRCC. The ATIP notes definitely help but those take 30 days or more to receive and really only show what’s happened not why things aren’t moving or how long until a decision. Worth a try if he’s pressed to know what it says. My advice is just to wait for approval. Good luck to him!

No, my brother had been working in Quebec up until 3 weeks ago. He had applied for a renewal of his work permit but realized it was refused, he received a message to pay some fees and was given 7 days for that, but he was never notified by email so by the time he connected to his account he realized he had that message and it was too kate, his work permit renewal was refused because of that. Overnight, he had to stop working, he has a mortgage to pay. He is a project manager for a big developer in Montreal, his boss reached out to the MP for the follow up request to IRCC. He filed a request to revoke his working status but he is hoping that the PR approval comes sooner so that he can go back to work.

eCOPR received2 days ago, finnally my battle is over.

I have a question about my permanent residence card, I am trying to apply by online several times but the system does not allow me to submit my application, I filled the electronic forms but it looks like there is something wrong, the photo is fine, is it better to send the application by paper?
