Hi,

Please help me with these questions:

1) If I have a study permit for a 1 year PG program that ends after 8 months, and I'm planning to do a second 1 year PG program which also ends after 8 months, when should I apply for a study permit extension?

2) Is it better to do the second program right after the first program and study for 16 months straight? Or is it better to wait for 4 months after the first program before studying again?

3) If I decide to take a 4 month break after the first program, can I work full-time for those 4 months? Or will I lose status after 90 days?

Thank you!

The whole point of the 1+1 program strategy is to get PGWP in the shortest time possible. So there's no point in waiting for 4 months after the first course. You should apply for an extension as soon as you've been admitted to the 2nd program.

The answer to your final question is here:

Thank you very much!
