Help Please! Working more than 20 hours in just one week accidentally.

There is no formal employer or contract. Students go on the site and choose another student to be their tutor. The platform is only for displaying information and processing payments.

So if the site is not operated by the university, it would be considered off-campus work.

Do you mean that your employer reported the wrong number to CRA?

instead of part-time, they recorded it as a full-time job and it might be a big problem as it's been the same for the past 7 months.

Hmmm - that's a pretty big error. I would send your employer this page:

It's pretty amazing they made such a big mistake since it means they have overpayed CRA as well.

the pay is same but the type of employment is different

Tell your employer to contact CRA to find out how to correct this. Your employer needs to be the one to fix this.

I changed my college(I didn’t completed the program, changed program in a different college) and got accepted in the new one. I changed dli and everything
My class in new college are starting from sept 7
Can I work full time up until then?

I always work on weekends on (Friday,Saturday and Sunday)
And I get paid biweekly(every 14 and 28)
Iam pretty sure that I have never worked more than 20 hours in a week
If I’m getting paid in every 2 weeks, my paycheque should have 6 working days right?
But sometimes there are has 7 days instead of 6. Which makes more than 40 hours
Will there be any problem ?

Hello everyone. I have a question, I am part time international student . The employer make me schedule of 21 hour and 30 min. Instead of 20 hours. On my request to remove the hours, said that this schedule includes 30 minutes unpaid breaks. Is it correct? If breaks are unpaid it will not count on this 21 hour and 30 min? Please help.

I am an international student residing in BC . As a student we are allowed to only work for 20 hours . I was working part time from one year and got my regular cheques and the biweekly cheque I recently got have 11.5 hours more . I am really worried about my work permit . It was not a case before and will never be happen in the future. Can it will be problem for my work permit as i did it mistakenly. Is this will be a big issue or what should I do to fix that
