Help Please! Working more than 20 hours in just one week accidentally.

So my problem is I exceeded my hours a few times, one week - 25.99, after a few months I worked 20.15 on one week 22 the other week ,20.15 the third week (I noticed it two years after it happened) After that I have never worked more than 20 during academic session, do you think I should write a LOE about it?

It shouldn't really be a problem. You have nothing to worry about, but I would suggest to explain in LOE. Again that's upto you. Sometimes student do go more than 20, like 21-22 hour, once or twice in their 2 year program.

But let's say you've been hitting 25 every week, that's a major concern.

Just a quick question. If you work for a non canadian employer, would it still count towards 20 hours? lets say it is a freelance job that you do for a company abroad.
Also, what if the work you do is on agreement basis. Like you agree to do a project and receive some money in return. It does not necessary show itself in the number of hours you have worked. How should you file these things to ircc?

There are no exceptions.
If you want to get super technical. The fact that you are not getting paid, it’s still cataloged as work.

My 2 cents: I did in fact work some weeks above the 20 hours. 21-22. But there were some weeks that I will completely not work. So that the YTD paystub will “balance” as if I had only worked 20h per week. I got my PGWP without any issue.

Hey , my question is that like is our work calculated per year? Like if we apply for PGWP will they see those weeks where they worked more than 20hr or they will just calculate it for the whole year and see how many hours they worked?

Working from home for a
company in another country doesn't
count as working in Canada. The
limitation of 20 hours doesn't apply.

yes. over time or not, it's work. And if you get pay extra "hour" with overtime work, 1 hour of overtime work only count for an hour (doesn't matter if you get paid more).

If you get paid for it, and it is considered off-campus work, then yes it counts towards the number of hours worked.

On campus employment means that the company or organization has an office and staff on your campus. EG. Food services or working at the recreational centre.

There is no formal employer or contract. Students go on the site and choose another student to be their tutor. The platform is only for displaying information and processing payments.
