I had my oath done on July 5th and file closed couple of days later but the certificate never arrived. I emailed them to enquire about it, they replied by saying it has been mailed out on July 11. Even though its clear that my certificate is not gonna arrive , since it has already been a month after they claim they sent it. They simply want me to wait until 6 week mark is completed so they can start processing to issue a new certificate. After looking at other threads apparently some certificates goes missing with no trace. even then IRCC don't think adding tracking numbers is useful. After my oath is done I was happy that I never have to deal with IRCC again. It didn't last long.

I applied from Windsor But my test and oath are all done by the Niagara falls office.

Good to see some progress.
I'm from Ottawa too and my file is in the Niagara falls also.
I saw some other applicants within the exact same timeline as mine and they got their ceremony invitation last week (they are both paper applicants mine is online) even though I have requested for fast processing...

Congrats! Finally my tracker also updated for oath September 14. What a stressful process this has been, especially for the last few months. I'm also in Ottawa but was processed by Niagara Falls all along. Full timeline in my signature.

I followed up this evening with Niagara office on my application. I’ve been waiting since Jul 25 where language, presence and prohibitions was completed with a ghost update on Aug 5, however the oath is still not started. The response I got was:

“Your application is being reviewed by an officer, and I am unable to tell you a timeline for your application to be approved. You can expect to be invited for oath ceremony 3-4 months after approval’

Wow, so now we have evidence that the application is not necessarily approved even when everything except oath has moved to Completed. I always suspected that is why I was waiting so long to get oath scheduled. Although I'm not sure why they say oath invite 3-4 months after approval when virtually everyone else gets oath invite within 3-4 WEEKS if not days after DM.

Have you ordered GCMS notes? I'm also curious to know what kind of review would still be done after everything except oath has moved to Completed, as that had always been assumed to indicate DM.

"Your application has been placed in queue to be scheduled for a citizenship oath ceremony. Due to the current volume of applications in the queue awaiting ceremony, we are unable to provide accurate timeline for scheduling. But please be assured that we are working as fast as we can with the ceremony scheduling and that you will be invited to a ceremony soon.
Please ensure that you keep an eye out on your inbox including junk/spam mail so as not to miss the invitation."

it is still confusing to me if my application is approved and moved to a queue OR is it still being reviewed before moving to ceremony?

So they have a large volume of applications in the queue awaiting ceremony ... it does seem that there have been fewer oaths in Niagara Falls since like June. Maybe that's why they have created a backlog. Some mid-2021 applicants have been getting oath on time with Niagara Falls, but I have also noticed that a lot of the people who got oath with Niagara Falls recently were 2020 and 2019 applicants processed in other offices who had been waiting forever for every single step and only got transferred to Niagara Falls for oath. Maybe the agents were vacationing? Hope they really are working as fast as they can to catch up now.
