I applied for my study permit from Bangladesh on June 15, 2022 and received my refusal yesterday.

Profile:
Intended University: University of Windsor
Program: Masters in Applied Economics & Policy
Intake: Fall 2022
Tuition Fee: $32000+ CAD (16 Months)

Profile: Bachelor of Social Science in Economics CGPA 3.33 (80%+)
Ielts: 6.5 (No band less than 6.5)
GRE: Quant 160, Verbal: 145, AWA: 4.0
Job Experience: 8 Months

Sponsor: Parents
Parent's Annual Income: $59,967 CAD
Available Surplus Fund after considering the tuition fee and living expenses: $263,693 CAD

Notable submitted Documents:
Bank Statements (Parents)
Bank Statement (Self)
All relavant tax papers
CA Evaluation
Financial planning
FDR, Bonds, Investment details etc.

Refusal Reasons:

- Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose to travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), If applicable)
- The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application
- Your current employment situation does not show that you are financially established in your country of residence.

Can someone shed some light on the matter. I was thinking to defer my admission to next fall and reapply. I don't know what should I change in my next application.

Order GCMS notes as second bullet can mean many things - didn’t show job opportunities to justify cost of program, no work experience to justify program and returning to home country.

- Annual income isn’t considered as it is yet to be earned. So your parents have $263k cash in a bank account? How much in cash did you and your parents show?
- Did you pay tuition?
- You have no work experience so how did you show that you (not parents) are financially established in your country. So FDR, bonds, investments are all in your name? If so not relevant to you returning to home country.

Send a reconsideration request through web form. Emphasize that your program is only for 16 motnhs. Attach proof of payment of tuition, the tax forms of your parents, bank account statements, and CA eval again. Make and attach a new document summarizing your family's financial info in a tabular format.

In the webform say that the decision was not procedurally fair because evidence of funds was ignored.

Then hope for the best.

- In the bank account (savings) of my parents they have around $57000 CAD, rest of the liquid assets are in forms of various financial instruments (ex. bonds, shares etc.). Moreover, the buyers of these instruments can liquidate these bonds at any point in time. According to the website of IRCC, these funds can also be shown as liquid asset. Considering the earnings (salary, rent, investments) of my parents, the CA evaluation figured the value of $59000CAD as their annual income.
- Yes, in UWindsor, I had to pay a partial amount of tuition for accepting the admission offer. ($4000 CAD). I have submitted the proof of payment along with my application.
- In my application, I didn't mention that I would be bearing my expenses, my parents were my sponsor. I have completed my graduation 14 months back and I have 8 months of work experience. And all the FDR, bonds, investments etc. are in the name of my parents. Considering my age and work experience how would I show the VO that I am financially established?

I agree 100% to what desipikachu said...reading ur profile and refusal reason..it seems they just took into consideration the saving account cash..and ignored the others...i would suggest ,from the pattern of bangladeshi applicant acceptance that VO only consideres FDR or liquid money in saving account..try to increase the money in saving account or make a fdr of the necessary amount to fulfil the financial requirement.hope u get ur ppr soon.
