What Mapple007 said is actually true, my apologies for the incorrect information before! Still learning what it all means and whatnot.

So from what information I could figure out (they never make it easy, do they?) the visa allows entry into Canada, while the work permit allows working (and I guess staying) in Canada for the specified period of time. If you wanted to leave Canada and return before the PR is processed, then you will need the visa extension.

No worries, we are all learning, you are right, Visa is to enter the country, and extending their stay or OWP is to maintain their stay legally.

We sumbitted May 9 outland paper and received SA and Biometrics on July 26. Is it normal that til now I haven't got a medical request yet? I've seen some having MR the same date as SA. Thanks for those who can help.

I reached out to IRCC and got a temporary file number. My file is located in Nova Scotia office. Any ideas if processing will be faster in NS Office as I have heard its fastest in Ottawa office, people are getting spousal applications approved in 5 months. I submitted outland online on 27th May.

You are not alone. We’ve been waiting as well and lawyer has no update. Outland online app waiting since May 5th. I don’t know what’s going on. We should have applied by paper if we only knew.

I submitted Application on 18th feb 2022 through online portal. I received my AOR on 10th may 2022. Lately, I have been receiving ghost updates on pr tracker since last 2 months but unfortunately, nothing is updated on cic account and pr tracker as well. Please see my timeline in signature.

I applied for my husband on May 15 online Outland and no AOR. I know they said new applications if 2022 should be back to the 12 month timeline but it’s hard to believe that. Trying to think positive and hope for the best.

Applied on May 7, 2022. Outland online and no news yet! I saw some late may applicants get AORs, and it just makes everything so confusing on how they process files. Its been three months and we donot even know what is going on. Will calling ircc make any difference? I though applying online would be faster and here it is totally opposite. Applying on paper would have been a lot faster looking at the situation right now.

How did you contact? Can you please share. We applied online on May 28th for my wife.

You need to call on 8882422100 and choose options to talk to an agent....It was a 50 min wait for me and got connected in the 4th time...Option set to be used is 232110 to reach to customer care

My friend had applied on 3rd May (online, outland) and just received AOR on 12 Aug.

I am still waiting for AOR (online, outland, submitted on 25 May)

Hopefully we will start seeing AOR good news in this group soon
