Hello guys could you tell me please
Does working at the university as a teacher-researcher considered a government position?

Some schools are public funded. You may not be considered as an Government employee but part of your salary comes from tax payer's money.

Same here. Need PCC from three countries. Plus my work experience letter isn't drafted properly so I have to contact my old employer once I get back to India. I do have a decent score but still need to collect a few docs before entering pool with other friendly fishies :3

Finally finished my soft landing this week. IRCC gave me just until August 5th due to medical expiry and sent my COPR/visa mid July. Flew to Toronto on the 2nd and met the nicest officer at immigration who just signed my COPR after confirming I wasn't a criminal and ended up answering more of my questions (about residency/PR card/traveling by land etc) than asking me any. Then met a grumpy lady at customs who yelled at me because she somehow thought I shouldn't be filling two declaration forms. She just ended up stamping my goods to follow list and I have no idea if I'll pay taxes on my personal laptop and phone when I move for good. Waited in a 5 hour queue at Brampton to get my SIN at one of the least efficient government offices I've ever seen. Then celebrated my landing by downing a 50$ (WTAF?!) bottle of jack Daniels in my hotel room. Took the bus to Niagara falls, walked the peace bridge, and was quickly revalidated in the US (no queue whatsoever because I was the only guy walking).

And after all this, I finally got a reply to my June 22nd IRCC webform enquiring about multiple PPR emails TODAY lol. They couldn't even match my information because so many things moved after that webform and I literally landed. Good luck to everyone waiting! You'll get there even if it takes 2 years lol.

Probably they chose schools that don't require GRE or low GRE scores. I don't think these 950 plus a$$holes went to IVY leagues or even unranked decent schools. They probably got admits in schools like International American University or United States University or International Technological University. When I was in Texas, I used to see lot of apartments in the Irving and Richardson area where 12 plus Indian guys and girls staying in a 2 bedroom apartments claiming to be Students. When you talk to them, you will learn that they faked their way to US. No surprise where they come from as most of them hail from that one state (which is divided as two now). @PRANIT01 and other Indian here probably knows which state(s) I am talking about. They attend namesake colleges for 4 to 6 times in a semester and give exams. Rest of the semester they work at Desi Consultancies (Indian IT Sweatshops) doing coding or marketing work and few work at Gas stations and Restaurants. I did speak to few who are brilliant (In coding) but they come from poor families and this is the only way for them to comes to US. USCIS knows this and they don't give a two f about it.

I've heard stories of kids from borderline diploma mills getting 8-9 H1B tech offers with no interviews through "consultants" lol. I have no idea what those companies are. USCIS gives a f in a roundabout way. They know that this problem exists. That's why they conducted that sting operation by making a fake university a few years ago. However, they mostly just screw every Indian in the US with quotas/H1B lotteries/decades of green card wait times etc instead of taking action to enforce these loopholes in a more specific manner. This is also why the Indian passport is so weak.

USCIS can stop if they want but they don't. These sting operations are eyewash for the public "Look we caught the bad guys" while letting go thousands of criminals.

WTF !! How is this possible? How can one get points before completing even 1 year of WE ? I didnt get this.

They sometimes round it up in he system. Problem is, that’s a grey area. Some officers round up(mine did) others don’t. It’s a bit risky to accept ITA if you know in a month you can get it legitimately.

Perhaps I'll apply to join IRCC's IT department, to see how the sausage gets made behind the scenes.

It would a hell of a project because you will be doing everything from scratch since their IT is shit and you’ll probably scrap everything lol.

Congratulations!!!
There will be an option that says "supporting documents", that's where you upload your documents. Check and recheck the requirements (follow the instructions to the letter) and then recheck another 4 times before uploading. If you need anything, don't be coy.

Nothing to be surprised about. These guys paid 14L INR to get fake scores. That's 22K+ CAD. That is shit load of money to buy off people. Just multiple that money by 950 and those 950 are just the ones who got caught. There is HUGE money at play here so this doesn't surprise me at all.

Bro, you provided so many upfronts. I can understand Medicals and PCC, but why Schedule A? Fcuk Kubeir and his cult, they donno what they are talking about most of the times. You many have probably got your PPR sooner if you had not provided the upfronts. Upfronts add so many workload for these lazy IRCC officers. Anyways, congrats and share your journey from Day 1 in Canada.

For sure, I actually feel that when I sent schedule A upfront that's when my application got picked cuz I submitted it on May 29th in disappointment that nothing's happening and then May 31st I had adr for same docs that i submitted in March. But again it can be anything IRCC is unpredictable.

More precisely, these are the folks that any immigration system in the world needs to be wary of. Not only they come by giving fake information, they are too hard to find coz they live inside 7 elevens and motels in Rural America and Canada. I have seen several such folks sitting in cash register of gas stations and am pondering on how the fk he/she got in here. Now I know how.

Yeah, just because of a few bad apples IELTS would not disable testing for a cash cow like India.
There are hundreds of thousands of hardworking aspirants who do it the right way every year and they shouldn't need to suffer because of this.
Also, IELTS needs to take a lot of the blame as well for this. Cameras at these fraudulent centres were turned off and this isn't the first time it happened, it has been happening in this centre of years. Either IELTS is incompetent or they are looking the other way.

Some food for thought for us ITA waiting ones:

If the Express Entry counts work experience in months, doesn't this mean that it will reward the points from the first day of the month, hence all the CEC will be counted in the pool from the first distribution we see, right? In other words, the 3rd of August would display all the possible CEC that could be included for this month and all others added in the following draws might be French speakers and perhaps those who got an ECA?
