Last contact with Immigration was Nov 2021, time that had been asked to send colour copies of passport. Few days before ( July 2022) had been asked for proof of exit/ entry in Canada , because I gave my citizenship test outside of country. So, can’t live like this. 24 months expecting to end this process

In May, some officer from Scarborough called me, told me that my file is “not as urgent” and it will be ”processed in due time.” I have the officer’s direct phone number from that call, maybe I will call and ask if they forgot about my file.

The population of Canada is the same number, the offices are the same, so do you really believe that was Covid that the process is so slow?
What really is going on?
We can’t travel, our PR cards are expired, our passports are expired ( long time waiting), asking for travel Document it needs months and months to obtain the documents. People ; what is going on?

the wait period can be frustrating...i can understand...similar situation like you...i applied in march 2019..gave my test outside canada on Oct 2021, they asked for passport scans in nov 2021. was radio silence since then...i persistently kept reaching out to the local MP and once they got involved, my file started moving...my spouse completed her ceremony and i am waiting for the oath invitation

So, MP is influent to Immigration? I didn’t know that.
Did Immigration asked for proofs exit/ entry because u gave the Test outside of Canada? ( I had been asked. )
What year did u apply for citizenship?
Your information, believe me, is better than to pay/ buy 300$ the bull… that one lawyer tells. Lawyers generally don’t know enough in immigration field- this forum for me is better

No I was not asked for any proof of entry and exit...I applied in March 2019...Lawyers...I have mixed feelings about them..I did do an initial consultation with 3 lawyers...2 of them scared me and one of them assured that everything is fine..I was planning to do a paid consultation with a top immigration lawyer before the MP's office provided me with a status update.
