Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

Oath ceremony was on the 5th of July, and cert received on the 15th. So, it took 10 days after the ceremony. Timeline in signature.

Oath: July 5th, 2022
ECAS Set to Complete: July 7th
Certificate Mailed: July 11th, 2022
Certificate Received: July 15th, 2022
Tracker Status still "In Process"

Hi , do you remember when you first applied for your citizenship I mean from the start, as I am trying to demonstrate the processing time of the whole application, mine from the start until the ceremony invitation is 9 months, so if it is supposed to be 12 months as mentioned on the cic website then I'll still have 4 months the receiving the certificate after the Oath , how long did it take yours from start to end ( receiving the certificate) ,please let me know as i am trying to make a decision between rescheduling the ceremony or proceeding.

How long for when certificates are posted till receipt? Did you have to sign for it?

It will be 1 year next month of passing citizenship test. Will I need to give test again? Or will everything to in progress again? I hope not.

Finally, after Oath on July 5, 2022, both ECAS and Tracker got updated on July 15, 2022.

Got a scare in the interim when someone at CIC call centre said, Mississauga did not record receipt of oath forms - likely haven't received. Frantic emails/ resending oath forms followed - all from my end. Didn't ever get a response/ automated acknowledgement from the Mississauga office - but evidently, they updated my file within a day after my frantic query requesting confirmation of receipt of oath forms.

Now, waiting for the certificate.

Citizenship certificate received - July 21.

The interview officer had asked me to submit FOIA from CBP to verify all my entry/exits to US as I have a US Permanent Residency too, and since I worked from home he doubted that I could be working from US and not staying in Canada. He asked me to submit last 5 years of bank statements, job records, rent agreements & receipts, employer records as well as tax records. I sent those on April 1, 2020 and had no update whatsoever since April 2020.

Have sent them over 50 emails so far, most of them were responded with an automated reply and nothing more. Have been in contact with my MP for almost a year now, and they finally got to DM early this month. Meanwhile, PR card has expired. PR Card renewal application was sent and delivered to them on June 03, 2022. But, they have lost the application. They haven't responded me to my question if I have to re-submit the application or they gonna try to find it since Canada Post shows it was delivered.

Not sure how long it will be more to get that email from them regarding decision.

It's been more than 3 years. I wish no one has to go though this.

Answer - Yes they do, I applied for passport today.
