We applied thru IRCC Portal last April 3, 2022 and still no update. We are done with biometrics.

Hi. It's not indicated there how long the visa will be valid. Is there a possibility that they give you a visa shorter than passport validity? eg. Our passport is valid for 10 years, can they give us visitor visa shorter than that?

even if the given travel date is passed, they will process the application(means won’t reject it in the name of travel dates)

Thanks God!Is there any case that they approve the application despite of the travel date already passed?

I don't know if it VFS could've done it faster because I had a minor issue with the payment which was my fault.

I am also outside Manila and I still haven't recevied mine. Have you got ME until passport expiry?

Yes sir. Expiry on March 2032, same with our passports.

May 17 - Received email from IRCC "We updated your application". Final decision is approved May 17, 2022
May 18 - Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxx – Decision envelope has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 2022/05/18 via courier partner. To track the status of the shipment, please visit courier partner website.
May 19 - Delivery guy unable to locate address
May 20 - VOH (Visa valid from 2022 until 2031

1st App (GC Key): July 22, 2021
Biometrics Request: July 23, 2021
Biometrics Completion: August 3, 2021
Status: No movement

2nd App (IRCC Portal): January 31, 2022
BVL and PPR: March 6, 2022
Passport Sent: March 14, 2022
Passport Received: March 16
Visa Office: Philippines
Processing Time per CIC site: 45 days
Actual Processing Days: 34

Mom's Age: turning 70
Occupation: None
Funds: None shown (no bank account back home)
Travel History: None
Ties to home country: Property title, 2 children who are in their 40s, and grandchildren.
Intented Stay in the Letter of Invitation: 5 months
Reason of Visit: Reunite with Immediate Family
and explore the beauty of Canada.
Expenses: Airfare, travel insurance, accommodation, meals, etc. to be shouldered by child (inviter)

Just sharing our super visa application experience.
August 8 2021- applied both parents for supervisa with upfront medical
August 12- mother's medical passed
Sept 3- biometrics done
Nov 12- father's medical passed (a little delayed due to additional testing)
No updates after. Never asked for updates since we're not in a hurry and processing time for Philippines was sitting at 260+ days.
Checked processing time again early April, and was down to 130+ days. After raising 2 webforms without any replies, I reached out to my MP and they suggested I should reapply since I applied BEFORE Sept 7, and I SHOULD use the new IRCC portal.
I was contemplating on the idea. I reapplied on May 25. I registered for an IRCC portal account, used myself as their representative.
Biometrics were updated right away.
Checked IRCC portal account on Monday, May 30th- both parents medical passed, with 2 new messages- BVL and PPR for both of them. Received an email notification minutes after.

Up to date, I haven't received any cancellation on their old application, it might come probably after their passports are stamped, who knows? I'm not hoping for a refund, I'm just happy we got a positive result. Passports will be sent on Monday.

Had reapplied earlier, should have it been the same outcome? I don't know.

When did she apply? i applied for my mom on May 20 and biometrics was done on 25th May.. no update until now.. 96th day today since biometrics..

so frustrating, she missed a lot of events because of the very long processing times..my cousins wedding, my sons birthday and baptism, her bday which is supposed to be celebrated here, and the summer getaways
