Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2021

Hi All,
If you have any suggestions for me , please advise :

- Submitted my parents application on 1 oct 2021.
- No update what so ever not even a ghost email.
- in the mean time, my parents have came to Canada as they are on super visa. I sent address change request but didn't go anywhere as their is no application number
- My dads passport was renewed, sent a webform to update document but didn't go anywhere
- I was hoping to get the application finalized by end of this year but it seems that my parents app will be one of those which will be processed in 34 months
- My parents want to go back to India(my Mom has shoulder issue and physio/doctor visits are expensive here ), I would need to apply the temporary visa for his new passport and what will happen if they want to come back . would i need to re-apply the super visa?

When is the expiry of your dad's supervisa? He can come back as long as that's not expired already at the time.

Hi Aulakh,

You have mentioned that you linked the profile on April 29 when CIC requested additional documents. I was asked for additonal documents as well and provided with a temporary file number which starts with XF. Are we still able to link the file with temporary file number?

But My application Number was Start with F - permanent file number on additional document requested. You can still try to link. Hope it get linked

When is the expiry of your dad's supervisa? He can come back as long as that's not expired already at the time.

It is expiring Dec 2022 at same time as his old passport expiry. But he was given 2 years entry at border in Feb 2022....so i am confused now. would he be able to come back on temporary resident visa or i would have to re-apply super visa?

If he doesn't leave, then he can stay till Feb 2024. But since he is going to leave, he will need to apply for either TRV or a new super visa.

Or he can wait in home country till he get PR approved and land as PR.

It is frustrating...we don't even know if our applications are complete.

now I cant see but earlier..my case agent was a**.o***z@cic.gc.ca. Do you know if yours were same?

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your timeline.
We got a second PCC request and pre arrival yesterday. We already provided PCC but got a second request. Not sure if it was because my parents were travelling at the time and we provided PCC through BLS service in UAE in April. Not entirely sure why my parents got second PCC. Previous PCC has no expiry date on it.

Can you share timeline please

Hello, I received a letter of FINANCIAL ASSESSMENT for Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) eligibility for my parents' sponsorship along with the BIOMETRICS letter, and looking for your suggestions:

Based on the letter, I did not meet the MNI for 2018. I am the only sponsor (No co-signer) and they have calculated 4 persons as my family size for 2018, 2019, 2020: That would include Me, My wife, my father, and my mother.

I got married in August 2019, hence my family size for 2018 should be 3 instead of 4 as I was not married. Based on a family size of 3 persons for 2018, I do meet the MNI criteria, but the letter has calculated a family size of 4 for 2018.

I had already explained in the letter of explanation during the file submission. Could you please guide me on what should I have to do next? Whether am I calculating the right family size or not!
