There you go, and that was my very point. Read between the lines please and appreciate the context of my response.
Just because our online applications are processed slower, putting all the blame on older people working at IRCC isn't justified.
I have worked along both young and old people, and in my experience, the younger workers have been the laziest and most careless. Older workers have been much more meticulous and patient. Again, this isn't a generalization, it's my experience.


You grieve about how rude my responses have been, and yet you set a perfectly great example of how "politeness" must sound like.
Yes, (reiterating again), I am nobody to judge anybody. However, I have always regarded Canada as utopia, a nearly perfect place to reside in. Especially, in my case (and this may apply to a lot of other people around here), I hail from a country so disorganized, fraught with corruption and chaos. Canada, to me, is purity and refinement of humankind. I immigrated here to become a better person morally, to learn best work-practices, to become more ethical, compassionate, resilient and most of all - perseverant. Traveling the world on a Canadian passport isn't my goal (which the user I was responding to assumed it was).



I was only responding to someone who was blaming the tardiness in application processing upon older employees.
The user later acknowledged it and even apologized, although he/she didn't really had to, which I think was such a nice gesture.


Despite that post, you simply had to jump in and compose very paradoxical twin responses.
I know you've been very supportive in the forum, and have been very kind to me especially. You are perhaps a seasoned member here as well.
That doesn't make you infallible, though. Does it?

Again, I apologize if my personal opinion about the topic or people in general offends anyone.

You attacked people in this forum for the very basic opinions and frustrations they had. This is far from being Canadian. Now when I alluded to the no contact-no friends, this was a mere restatement of what you shared in the Forum. I was not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but I was also trying to confirm if it was the same person coming last week to seek support from the group on a few questions only to start blaming them for their frustrations. Your answer lacked empathy clearly. And the fact that you came to Canada to state that you want to live here does not make you any superior no negate the fact that other people who want a passport want to live and contribute to positive change. You went on attacking the same person who said that they want the passport for that very reason, and made the whole point about yourself. You are seeking attention.
Also no-one attacked you in this forum, but that's exactly what you did, twisting the argument about agism, and turning it into something that has nothing to do with the topic of discussion. As a matter of fact, no-one knows how IRCC functions or the age of their employees, and this is off-topic again. What matters to us all is to see a level of transparency in the process because yes people here feel that IRCC has not been fair in not prioritizing and in delaying our online applications while paper applications are processed much faster (judging by how many people post their updates in this forum). If you are ok with the wait, then why are you coming to judge people's frustration? maybe you should not be in this page you are trolling!! I am done commenting on you!!

If this was off-topic and if I was merely trolling the forum, why even care to respond here?
You could have simply ignored my post as this was both irrelevant and off-topic for you. My post wasn't even directed at you in the first place.
The person that I seemingly insulted, already conceded and is silent and in peace. It's you who seems to seek attention by responding on someone's behalf.

I never said I disagree with others about IRCC's approach on the online vs paper. I only said, if possible, not to apply on paper if you already have an online application in process.
Then I talked about being patient, and to persevere (because I thought the reason for duplicate paper applications was the result of lack of these virtues).
For genuine cases, IRCC has the urgent processing stream. For normal applications, everybody waits and the wait-times differ.
There are people who have waited for more than 2 years, and are still waiting.
Was I trolling by asking people to stop submitting duplicate applications? This indeed does waste IRCC's time and resources.
Look from my perspective, and you'll find that I'm the one who's being trolled and attacked here.

“I wish to inform you that, in accordance with paragraph 9(1)(b) of the Access to Information Act*, an extension of 60 days beyond the statutory 30 day limit is necessary to process your request. This extension is required in order to undertake consultations that are necessary to comply with the request that cannot reasonably be completed within the original time limit.” :p

Very good. They will respond as soon as it is January 2023.

No AOR for the paper application I sent, so here is my guess: they saw the form for cancelling the online application and along with my application application, then they decide to leave the online one on and ignore the paper one. Otherwise, it would not explain why many applicants in June has already received their AOR, but mine has not.

One suggestion to you guys, do not let them know that you have an online application already. Either cancel the online application before, or leave it on as it is

Wonder if they will be able to tell from the payment receipt of the first application

I also haven't received any update or AOR, I did not attach a withdrawal letter, but I used same application date as online, I would update if any action happens

Just think about this:-

An IRCC officer goes to work in the morning and clocks in to start with assessment of his/her first application for the day.
Let' assume that this officer ABC in now reviewing the online application of @brswng
Another IRCC officer DEF goes to work in the morning and clocks in to start with assessment of his/her first application for the day.
And, this officer DEF starts reviewing the paper application of @brswng, i.e. the same person.

Can you imagine how much time and resources are you wasting, and why?
Just because you think you are Canadian enough to be granted the citizenship. First, learn to become a true Canadian, and stop wasting resources.
Citizenship is a privilege, be patient. Learn to acquire the great virtues upon which this great country was built upon. Persevere.
What's the point of holding a Canadian passport/citizenship certificate if you lack core Canadian values?

No offense intended to anyone, and I used @brswng just as an example, don't take that personally.

Whether you tell them or not, they will figure it out regardless.
