Hey everyone. I received the passport request on June 24! You can find the details on my signature.

Quick question: In the request letter, I am asked to provide my height and eye color along with my passport and two photos. I entered my eye color as blue in the eAPR forms but most people says it is actually green. My eyes go from green to blue sometimes and when I ask people I get different answers. I asked to the doctor during the medical assessment on Dec 2020 and she said she thinks it is blue so I entered blue on the eAPR forms. Statistically more people say it is green. Do you think I should simply go with the blue again on the Appendix B - Height and Eye Colour Chart or change to green ? I know it sounds like a silly question but it confuses me a lot :D
Your eyes are blue. Don't complicate things for no reason.

If I am doing that course I will do it from a university in canada and not a college but a university.
Honestly your experience matters the most here followed by degrees. If it is a degree usually especially if she is changing the field they mostly won't accept indian credentials and more over she will get a chance to network and employers are familiar with the university.
But I won't recommend a college, not to hurt anyone's feelings but the quality of education offered their and the students (majority) are garbage which I meant they don't have even basic skills to do the job, they are nice people but unfortunately they are not employable with their coursework and the current level of knowledge.
Ohk.. so you suggesting to do it from University. And ya we both are non tech trying to put foot forward in IT.
Also, wanted to ask you one more thing.
If we travel to calgary via seattle (US) from India do we need transit visa??
If yes, how much time does it take to get US transit visa?

I will tell you one thing ,I have cussed them a lot of times ,but I can guarentee you 1 thing Canada's public offices are a million times better than USA.They dont give a damn even if you are an american forget about immigrants.
If you go to exchange a license 1 day is lost in US in Canada I took 15 min.
IRCC is garbage nodebate on that but atleast in Alberta I can say their systems are really efficient

I respectfully disagree, DMV's are not what they used to be. I have been a DMV in Massachusetts and a DMV in Florida, they are much more efficient and streamlined. Yes you need to wait at least an hour or maybe less but this is huge improvement.

Yeah, look how consulates are in the US right now. They are a shitstorm and if you complain about it to a rep, he will probably be glad, because less immigrants. Even if you are a citizen and have family abroad. In canada, they will actually try to do something about it.

I love how this thread always switches from 'fk canada, us is awesome' to 'usa sucks, canada ain't bad' every now and then. Let me tell you something mates, statistically speaking, we in Canada are fked in an economic perspective and the outlook is worse in the next 10 years (big part in due to Liberal Trudeau policies). If you care about the the other stuff then yes, Canada is better

and yeah i don't mean to demotivate anyone, just the harsh reality

Economically USA will always have an advantage over Canada. There are not many people if they have US GC would come to Canada. I'm not saying there would be none but a major chunk of people would gladly choose US if they could get GC over Canada.
