Thank you for your reply Imari! I sent the appeal letter by Xpresspost but in the email I wrote my email so that all the correspondence would be sent to me by email. I hope that they send my stuff by email then because its more convenient that way rather than checking my mailbox.

We had our interview at KVO on June 14th and received refusal on the 16th. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant so this has been very difficult news to receive. Our letter stated they believe our marriage is not genuine and it was a marriage of convenience. We already sent off the appeal notice. That interview was the first time I was ever made to feel my marriage was a crime. The agent ignored I was pregnant completely (we had to tell him I was) even though they had two letters from my doctor's (one which stated my husband had to be here) and ultrasound photos. He was more obsessed with the fact my husband had three kids from a previous relationship. I just find this whole thing very isolating. I don't know how to enjoy my pregnancy anymore. Has anyone gone through this dealing with Jamaica visa office? Or while pregnant?

Hey there! I'm so sorry to hear that you guys have to go through that. It's definitely not fair. Me and my husband were also refused visa through the New Delhi visa office in India. We're new to this appeal process as well but so far it's going pretty well and kinda fast I feel. I received my confirmation of appeal in less than 2 weeks, now waiting on the notice of appearing for the appeal. I understand it's difficult for you since you're pregnant and need your husband with you at this time
but stay positive! Maybe look into applying visitor visa or something while this appeal is happening, I'm not too sure but try searching for other options!Hello guys! Are you both from the same country and which country you are citizens of?
There were guests and family in your marriage.?

I am from Canada and he is from Jamaica. The agent we had seemed to have a bias against Jamaicans who have kids. During my interview he repeatedly told me how many cases they have where the dad has kids, divorces the Canadian to bring the mom over and how he has to "protect all Canadians". I think he told me that over 5 times.
When we got married in 2020, COVID was still pretty bad and Jamaica had restrictions on wedding and funeral sizes. We could only have us, the pastor, and 3 guests. No one from my family could fly in because of the quarantine in Canada you had to do. But my husband did have family and friends present. We do have vow renewals planned for both sides of the family. Hopefully we can do the one with his whole family before I can no longer fly.

When we applied for appeal the only thing we were asked to submit more and more evidences to show our marriage is genuine. Our Lawyer make it sure that we have more evidences. Like we Registered our marriage in both our native countries. And there were many things we added in our file. We also faced covid time in our marriage time, but that's not a big thing.
Your lawyer should ask you all these things. If you have additional documents it always help. Even your DNA test. I hope everything will be fine. Believe in God. God bless you both.
If you have not done, write down in as much detail as you can remember - immediately - your best recollections of what was said during the interview.
Then I would say AT LEAST get a consult from a lawyer.
The point being here - in my view - that you have been given a rare opportunity here to challenge materially on basis that the agent TOLD YOU OUT LOUD, and REPEATEDLY, what his bias was, what he was looking for, and (arguably) did not evaluate as a separate case.
I'm not a lawyer - and you need the specific legal langauge for this. Your written recollections as soon as possible after the event are really important.
Separately, the core part of your claim - that your relationship is real - will need to be strengthened and demonstrated as much as possible.
Thank you for advice, I have started compiling things that were said to me by the agent, as well as to my husband. I am extremely curious to see the agent's notes on our file and interview because I have the feeling it is not 100% honest.

Do we have to submit documents after they provide the hearing date or can we submit documents whenever during the process? What types of strong relationship proofs are you guys including?
