I reviewed the past threads from people who had submitted citizenship applications from May 2021. They have their citizenship certificates just now. So it looks like it takes about 13 months give or take a few days. So for people who applied in September, I would expect to receive the oath ceremony invite in October, and the certificate in November. And we may have our passports by Jan 2023.

Okay so I am not alone in this. Exactly the same thing happened. I was lucky I checked the tracker for the status change. Otherwise I would have missed the test! My window was June 10 to June 30 too. I just took it a couple of days ago and the status changed to "Completed", just today.

General question - how long does it take from this to receiving the citizenship ceremony invite? Any estimates anyone knows ?

my timeline is in signature, hope this gives you an idea but not all applications are treated same and not all processing office work at same pace.

1. Yes and No. "Completed" simply means you have attempted and completed the test. You won't receive any notification that your test result has been verified and the only way to be sure your score is official is if Prohibitions, Language Skills, and Physical Presence change to "completed". Otherwise, you will receive a notification for a retest if there was an issue with your test but this is for the minority of applicants so you can be "reasonably" relaxed that you have officially passed the test.

2. No. No need to worry at all. A large number of people had to call to get their e-mail as well and some have taken their oath of citizenship.

As I read the instructions, one the test is updated as completed meaning your test result is already validated by an officer so no worries about that. If there was any problem with your test, it would be in progress not “completed”

Your application status will show as “completed” if you received a pass or a fail.

Your status will show “in progress” if your

• test hasn’t been reviewed yet
• test was cancelled and rescheduled
• results were invalidated
• 
  I think normally it will take another 2-3 months for the next updates.

Status is updated in tracker and also on ECAS it shows "Decision Made"
I am hoping Oath will be soon. Any tentative guess normally how much time it takes for Oath ceremony after all other steps are done

If it is updated from “In Progress” to “Completed”, the IRCC link shows it has been reviewed and has become official. Correct me if I am wrong, what you are saying is that “Completed” means that the test has been attempted and has nothing to do with the result being declared as official or being validated

No worries, now just sit back and wait. I finished the test on Jun 3 and some people even finished it earlier and haven’t received update after that so it will take 2-3 months at least. Nothing we can do except waiting. So chill out everyone we will get there before 2023

I understood it as the same way you say. Completed means result is already validated either passed or failed if you got more than 15 answers right then you passed, if not then you failed and they will give you another attempt then maybe test will be changed back to “in progress” if you failed the first time and need to retake. But if you received a pass grade and it changes to “completed” then you have finished the test and won’t need to retake so you can move on.

I think you understood it wrong, why would the test status changed back to “in process” if you already passed the test? Once the test is validated and the status changed from “in progress” to completed and you got a passed grade during the test (15 or more/20 right) you are done, move on. Unless you got less than 15/20 then the test status still will be changed to completed and changed back when you failed the first attempt and are given a retake date.
