Using PRTD while waiting for PR renewal

Hi all,
I have a question please. My mom is a PR since fall 2016. Her PR card expired in January 2022 while she was abroad. She still met the RO while her card expired. She obtained a PRTD in March 2022. The PRTD is in fact a VISA sticker (on her Bulgarian passport) valid until March 2023 (the PRTD lists March 2022 - March 2023 validity). Under Entries the PRTD lists MULTIPLE. Now my mother is back in Canada since May 2022. She applied for PR card renewal on May 17th (date when the Nova Scotia office received her application as per Canada Post). The application is not yet listed under her CIC profile. Based on the experience of other people here we don't expect to receive her new PR card before July 30th.
Now for the question: we booked a Cuba vacation starting July 30th, 2022. If we leave Canada before she receives the new PR Card, can she return back using the PRTD issued back in March 2022? Your help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

I believe it should be fine.

Note, if she's no longer in compliance with RO, she could get written up/report at re-entry to Canada.

At re-entry she will have spent 1005 days outside Canada in the last 5 years ending at the re-entry date. Would that be enough not to trigger anything? Thank you kindly.

If your numbers are correct, she is in compliance with RO and nothing to worry about.

She may get asked questions about the PRTD and RO, just answer truthfully.
