PR Card Renewal & New - 2022 Processing Timeline

After waiting for 10 months I finally received mine and my husband's PR cards in mail.

My timeline below; hope this helps

Received Client Portal Request to make account: 26th July 2021
Received Client Portal Credentials: 27th July 2021
Updated application details such as name, address and photo: 28th July 2021
Received ECOPR: 29th July 2021
Received review photo request email then retook it/updated on: 8th August 2021
Received PR cards in mail: 30th May 2022

CLIENT PORTAL ACCOUNT STILL SHOWS THE APPLICATION FOR PR CARD IS STILL IN REVIEW, IT HAS NOT UPDATED THAT CARD WAS MAILED OR ANYTHING YET.

It shows Decision Made on the main page, hopefully it's coming to my mail sooooooon!

Hello everybody, can anyone help me to understand my application:

The IRCC portal shows the following status:

"Final decision
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."


However, when I check from the Client Application Status it indicates the following:


Permanent Resident Card

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on April 25, 2022.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 10, 2022.
3. We started processing your application on May 10, 2022.

Hi Everyone,
We applied for my husband's PR Card RENEWAL on May 9th. We know from Purolator that the package was delivered on May 11. It's been 3 full weeks and we haven't heard anything about our application. When we go to Canada.ca to track the application, we tried to link his application but it keeps showing his original PR application update from 2017 and then it says his PR card has expired. Anyone else experiencing the same? How can we track the application to know if they actually received our application and started any processing???

I received AOR on May 14 saying that the application was received on April 14. The package was received on April 4 (per tracking #). Hope you will receive your AOR soon.

Hi All,
I applied for PR card renewal on April 06, 2022, for myself, my spouse, and my two kids. They all received the acknowledgment on May 04, 2022, stating that the application was received on April 14, 2022. I never received an email for myself. Today I checked the application status as I thought maybe the email got missed somehow. They all have an application with the status "Decision Made", but there is no active application for me? What should I do?

My status showed up the next day after AOR, so I would suggest you check it again tomorrow.

Landed in Canada Mar 12, 2022, outbound application. Waiting for the first PR card. Cannot link PR card application to my IRCC account. I did not apply for it, I was told I will receive it automatically, maybe that is why there is no application?
Just to confirm: I do not need to apply for my initial card, correct?

Will info about the issued PR card be visible in my IRCC account, where all the info re my PR application is visible? Or will the PR card just show up any day now?
