HI I need advise from someone experienced in this. I had filed for parental sponsorship and since then now I have got a new born baby and my wife is on maternity plus parental leave. I know I have to inform IRCC of this new birth as there is a income eligibility requirement. My wife was not a co signor and even now after the birth I do not need her to be co signor. My question is when I fill up this financial evaluation form ( 5768e) - there is a section asking spouse employment status and I am not sure if I should show her as employed or unemployed - looks like it should be shown as unemployed and in comments section I should write about maternity/parental leave OR should be shown as employed as she will be joining the employer after maternity leave anyways . On the other hand I am worried will it be a negative sign for them while processing the application ( although she is not co signor and my salary is enough for last 3 yrs requirement) - please suggest if someone already gone through this.

Hi Everyone,

My parents got the request for Medical. They will be getting it done end of May and flying to Canada a week after that. So when they get the request for police clearance, they will be in Canada. My questions are -

1. Can they initiate the police request in India before being asked by IRCC or do they have to wait for the request?
2. Can the Police check be done while they are here in Canada by the Indian consulate?

3. Also we never got the sponsor approval letter, although the request for medical came to the sponsor's account - is it normal?
4, One last question - What is linking the account, I have read so many threads but do not understand what is being done, and who needs to do that?

You can start PCC. Go through Passport Seva Kendra.. it’s valid for 6 months. If he get the same before flying he can carry with him and upload only after receiving request.

Hello, we are going to Canada on visitor visa date 4th July .. medical request is received and got appointment of 1st June. Is it necessary to inform IRCC about our plan before leaving india.

I also applied Nov 13th. We have the same case worker and same timeline that the 5 documents were updated around 24th April.

Same as mine. Last update november 23 , 2021. The documents were open only 4 as well for principal applicant last April 21, 2022

Hi,

My parents received their passport with Immigration Visa. However, the envelope did not have any COPR. Will they get it at the airport in Canada when they land?

What is their timeline ? When did you submit their application ? Thanks
