Hi,
CAN + eligibility is for both. Either you travelled to canada in past 10 years or you have a valid US visa.

I travelled to Canada for 2 weeks in 2019 but there is no option in New Portal regarding CAN + ..is it automatic?

There is no separate application for CAN +. You start filling up the visitor visa on IRCC portal and one of the steps will ask if you had a canada visa before and you will pick YES.
And one of the questions will be your UCI # which you can find on your visa stamp.
When you upload support documents at the end , you upload your canadian visa , entry exit stamps pages .That is the proof that you travelled to canada in past 10 years which qualifies you as CAN + when they review your eligibility. Is it clear?

Hi everyone,

I noticed that Biometric completed status changed only for principal applicant. It didn’t update under my mom’s application. Is this normal ?

It's same in my case. Biometric shows 'Completed' only for Principal Applicant.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

Using my Ircc portal, I have applied for my parent's visitor visa under one account and specified my dad as the principal applicant.
When Biometric was completed, status got updated under my dad's application only 'Biometrics - April 8, 2022: Completed.' and my mom's account only received the Biometric number

you should check it with IRCC ,It wont hurt the decision making process. If its normal ,they will say it. If they missed it, they will correct it.

The application has not reached that stage yet.
It says the application is in process and that they will email when they start reviewing eligibility.

I would like to add, it says they will message us but in my case the status from processing to reviewing eligibility started and there was no message of the status change. I caught it on one of my daily checks on the portal.

I do the same, checking the portal every single day since submission.

I take it you received the PPR?
I'm slightly anxious that my financial proof would affect the application. I provided bank statements showing a balance of CAD 13K but in the form where they ask 'available funds for your stay', I wrote CAD 3k assuming they asked how much I have budgeted for my time (10 days) while Im there - excluding airfare.
Based on your application, do you think this could be grounds for a rejection?
