If you can make a lawyer understands your pain and story, IRCC will as well. Describe the exact storyline to IRCC. It doesn't need to be perfect as a published novel, it is just a simple statement saying all your troubles encountered in life.

Hey guys, I need some advices, I have applied for H&C it is my first application, my husband and i don’t have work permit as it expired last April 22, we have 3 Canadians and I am expecting my 4th baby, my due is in July, my baby will born at bc Womens’s hospital in new beginnings maternity clinic program, I’m so relieved about it …
My questions are: we don’t have wp, my husband can’t work anymore, how to survive while waiting for AIP ? Is there any chance to apply for WP without AIP and get it? Is there any chance to continue receiving my CCB ? If I apply for assistance my chances to get AIP will get down bc of it ? Can I go back to my country and wait from there any answer about my application?

Today I just applied for legal aid certificate for my judicial review . I want to ask can I apply for legal aid certificate again for my second H&C application? teddy can you please tell me did you ask officer for reconsideration? how does it went? my lawyer want me to apply for judicial review he said . in fact, it would be a waste of time and money to do a new h&c application unless you seek to judicially review the bad decision, immigration would just repeat the same decision by the same officer who made the bad decision using the same reasons.
We got exactly same advice from Toronto's top lawyer - that new HC would be a waste of money and we should seek judicial review which of course would cost 10,000$ + (lawyer fees) just for Stage 1 and last over a year. We did the opposite - cancelled lawyer, refused to file JR and did new HC ourselves. We got AIP. JR is a much more profitable venture for lawyers so they will almost always recommend it.
The only advantage of JR is that it delays deportation. It is costly, lengthy and the chances of success are very slim. Even if judge agrees with you at the end, you do not get automatic PR - your case will be referred to a new officer for reconsideration who can still deny it.
My humble advice to everyone is to not jump into something just because lawyer recommends it.
If you strengthen your evidences and show clearly how you responded to each refusal argument from previous officer, the new officer will not automatically repeat the same decision like your lawyer says. There are many people on this forum who succeeded from 2nd or 3rd attempt. Do not let your lawyer mislead and intimidate you. If we did it, you can do it too.

i spent the whole afternoon yesterday trying to explain to this member how things work. Apparently, he made up his mind believing the legal aid office rather than me. It is not i dont want to help him anymore, i am exhausted to repeat after myself.
Legal aid office works for "free" because as much as clients they take in, as much as the money they will get paid from the government.
IT IS A BUSINESS AFTER ALL. It might look like an advantage to you, but in fact, they also take advantage of you.
Many legal professionals take advantage of desperate applicants in precarious situation, stressed and exhausted with this whole process... This is unfortunate reality.

Hi Katayoon like other I'm a victim of lawyer's , I will not listen my lawyer I will submit a second H&C by myself . i have one question did your second H&C refusal was same or different refusal? it was same officer or different, just asking because you had 3 different h&c ,want to know if its same officer who refused you twice. I'm not paying for judicial review its legal aid paying for this. i will cancel my judicial review once I will submit my second h&c application. also one last question if i answer the refusal notes with proof does it help me to make my second h&c application strong?
First and second HC were refused by same agent, yes. Unfortunately, we had bad luck because our files were in French and it kept going to the same agent in Montreal. But third file I translated in English and, thank God and our luck, it went to another agent in Vancouver, who gave AIP.
Yes, if you respond to each refusal argument with strong evidences and clearly explain yourself in your cover letter, and you fall on a compassionate agent, you will have a good chance.
google will do you good. I recommend them base on review but I’ll advise you to do your personal checks.
That’s not true based on my experience I follow google reviews at the end I got two refusal… google review most of the time are fake

With an H&C application, you don't qualify for a work permit until you have AIP.
What was your status and your husband's status in Canada before your WP expired on April 22? What is your history in Canada? When you say "last April 22", do you mean April 22 this year or last year?
