Congratulations. Can you please share the expiration or validity of COPR you have received?

I am in the same boat. I have submitted my passport two days ago. I am curious about the validity of COPR for US residents.

I finally received all the required documents and my passport from IRCC after PPR, here is my final timeline:

AOR: Dec 8th 2020
Meds Passed: Jan 2021
(No updates till Feb 2, 2022)
Feb 2, 2022: ADR Request 1 (POF)
Feb 9, 2022: ADR Received
Feb 25, 2022: Remed passed
Mar 16, 2022: ADR Request 2 (Updated PCC)
Mar 23, 2022: ADR Received
Mar 24, 2022: RFV/PPR
Mar 26, 2022: Passport Sent
Apr 5, 2022: Counterfoil generated
Apr 6, 2022: Passport and COPR received
Apr 6, 2022: Got a call from immigration mentioning they did not send me a copy of the COPR with my picture on it and that they will ship it soon
Apr 11, 2022: Received a COPR copy with picture on it

Yes it is if you submit requested documents on time.

If you don't mind, could anyone please help me with my dilemma?
Summary of my case:

• FSW - Outland. AOR - 12th December 2020. Recently I got and completed the re-medical request on 21st March 2022.
• I received an offer for the UBC Master of Data Science program with a program start date of 31st August.

Queries:

1. Do you think it is wise to wait for PR? Is it useful to raise a web form attaching the offer letter and requesting IRCC to expedite my case? Or should I apply for a student visa?
2. Is there an increased risk of visa refusal since I already have an active PR application? I've read that even if dual intent is a legit circumstance, it is extremely rare to get an approval. Is this true? Should I decline my opportunity at UBC?

Wait for PR my friend, it’s around the corner, have little more patience.

COPR and PR Visa valid till Feb 1, 2023. I am moving permanently very soon.

Zero communication from the IRCC since AOR. I live in Canada too..

Same. Dec 11 2020 AOR no update so far. Done upfront medical test on April 15.
It's been too long. It seems no IRCC agent wants to check my files!
Hoping the new medical report would trigger some movement.

Lol same, I also re-sent my medical report hoping to alert to the officers that my file is collecting dust! So frustrating

I'm even thinking about giving them new PCC next month if nothing happens after new medical pass.
And new proof of fund.
Ultimate desperation.

Hello All,

Sharing this info as it might help some one in the group. All I could say is keep checking your account for updates and dont lose hope as my application went from almost 0% to 100% in last 20 days.

FSW out of country applicant.
Country of citizenship: India, Residence: USA
AOR : Dec 29th 2020
Bio metrics : Mar 2021
Absolutely no update until Mar 9 2022.
Medicals got extended on Mar 9 2022
Mar 20 2022: 2 ADRs asking for
1) PCC from USA (It probably got expired as it had a validity of only 6 months) (Had 7 days to submit this)
2) Proof of funds (I was hardly able to show 15,000 CAD for me and my wife in Dec 2020. This time I was in comfortable position to show much above whats required) (Had 30 days to submit this)

Submitted above documents on Mar 24 2022.

Request for passports on Mar 25 2022. Submitted on same day

All statuses of background and eligibility changed to good things on April 7

COPR along with passports arrived on April 8th.


It has been a 3 year wait.( In my first attempt in 2019, I uploaded my response to an ADR but forgot to submit it assuming uploading is submitting)

Trust me, until Mar 20,2022, I was like many of you who was sitting with no hope. But once an officer starts working on your application, things go very fast. Keep an eye on notifications and tight deadlines to submit ADRs in some instances.

Funny note: My application status still shows, ADR submitted on Mar 24 is still being reviewed.
