Update on a friend's case:
He applied in March 2021 (single applicant) , received CoPR yesterday and email instructions for PR Portal to upload his photo and confirm his address. It seems 13 months is the length of time from submission to CoPR for many applicants I know.
can you show his timeline?thanks

I see public policy on medical exam waiver is expired, I believe they are starting to ask everyone for Medical now. My ECAS says medical results have been received and says on CIC profile that they don't need my medical exam. If they ask for medical inside Canada, we have to expect a delay in CoPR.
Yes. we will expect some delays. Imagine if officers touched our files 12days ago, then we wouldnt need medical exams. I checked with Physician, it will cost me $1,074 for family of 4.. Debit or Cash:mad:

Oh God! that is outrageous! Doesn't matter if the applicant(s) are inside Canada, right? And I suppose they pay for refugees for medical only once!!! Mine was done in 2019. Really bad luck that we have to do medical now and expect delays also pay a hefty amount for it!

Exactly, and that was the cheapest i could get in Richmond for end of Next week. Your IFHP is expired and you are not covered, nor with MSP or extended health i guess....

Yes, No IFHP anymore as it is expired and IFHP also covers it only once. It seems we have to be paying each $240+tax in this time that we are all under severe financial pressure.

240 (GST Incl) may be only Doctors physical examination, excluding Blood work and xrays. Lifelabs charges $77, and Xray is around $80-$100

Very unfair that some did not need it, suddenly all need it and have to pay for it AND it will cause delays! Sigh!

I just got medical request for my family outside Canada and myself right now
Congratulations!
Do you remember that last week I told you guys that biometric request letter for my spouse was issued on the same day I got first correspondence but unfortunately I didn’t receive that email, so, I was able to talk to them last week and got letter on Friday but IRCC sent me the copy of same letter which was already expired! So, I spoke again today morning to IRCC and the guy said you have to submit webform so that case officer will send you a new or expiry extended letter again it seems it’s gonna be delayed!
For me, he said your criminality is passed, Medical was also passed but results got expired so now it depends on officer if he wants me to undergo another medical exam or if I get exemption!
Any idea???
Regards

It's really unfair. This is politically incorrect. Others don't need medical examinations and do not need to pay. We need to re-examine and pay due to late processing.

I'm desperate, IRCC handles cases in no order at all, very random! I really waited until I was desperate. I applied in August last year. So far, I have received a temporary application number, which has not been updated in the future. Those submitted later than me have already started processing. Our medical treatment has expired, and we have to re-examine , as well as the cost of medical examination, you need to pay by yourself
